the fact that no one cares makes this more sad... j/k...j/k.... Gaze was a decent shooter for the Spurs, thats all I remember of him...he was like a poor man's steve kerr...
One of the greatest basketballers any league has seen, and one of the greatest coaches. Both are absolute legends, and as graceful as they come, and good luck to both of them in future endeavours. Both will be sorely missed, even if it's only Australians who are able to truly appreciate the contributions both made to the game of basketball and development of basketball in Australia.
Thanks for the memorys andrew! u were the greatest player ever to come out of australia and even in your last season you still put up magnificent numbers. Andrew was the jordan of australia leading the NBL in scoring and playing for 21 years! He played for Seton Hall where he played in an NCAA final. Then played for the Washington Bullets in 1994. Then he joined the ranks of David Robinson and Tim Duncan on their journey to win an NBA championship in 1998/99. He won 7 NBL MVPs, and the All time leader in scoring and assists in the NBL. He has also won 4 international player of the year awards. Take a second to look at his stats and you will see why all aussies think of him as there Michael Jordan. http://www.nbl.com.au/default.aspx?s=tiger...file&profile=39
A sad day for Australian basketball. The effort put in by these two men was enormous and it has been taken for granted that they will always be there. They will be sorely missed
