Hunter can become an unrestricted free agent should he choose not to exercise a player option worth about $732,000 before July 1.

"I?ll definitely have some options this summer and I?ll have to do what?s in the best interest of myself and my family by looking at all of those," said Hunter, who will talk things over with his agent when the season ends. "But this is the tailor-made team for me where I get to be myself, run the floor, block shots and be active. I definitely want to be back."

He should be back, if the Suns can keep their players I think we are looking at a few years of league dominance.

I think it'll be in the best interest for him and the team, for him to return. He's been a good fit, and he's finally been able to utilize his atheleticsm and defense with consistent PT. He fits in very well with the Suns.

How much do you guys think that Hunter would actually command if he indeed opted out of his contract? Maybe $1 mil per at 3 years, or more? Either way, I think it would be in his best interest to try to put himself in the best financial situation as possible. If he stays with the Suns, it'll make him look good but it doesn't mean he'll get lots of playing time. If I were him right now, I would opt out and sign somewhere else for more money. There'll be time later on in his career to go back to a winning team; right now he should care about his long term security.
