<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas sophomore Olu Famutimi will make himself available for the 2005 NBA Draft, school officials said Saturday, but he has not hired an agent. By not signing with an agent, the Flint, Mich., native has until June 21 to remove his name from consideration for the June 28 draft and retain his college eligibility. "My goal is to see where I stand and work toward my dream," Famutimi said. "I have not hired an agent, which leaves open the opportunity to return to the University of Arkansas." </div> Link As crazy as it sounds, I'm not so sure if I blame him. If he wasn't going to put up the numbers last year, it wasn't going to get much better next year. He still has that High School All-American status that will lead a lot of people to bring up his potential, and he's young enough to get away with it right now. If he were a Senior and still only averaging nine points per game, he would really be screwed, because his "potential" label would be gone as well.
Olu Famutimi has been a bust thus far, IMO. But as you said, the McDonalds All-American title that he carries around will make teams give him a look, despite how bad his stats have been.
