At this point, why not? As the deadline date approached a lot of players threw their names into this year's NBA Draft. As long as they don't hire an agent they can pull out, so why doesn't every high school senior age 18+ and every NCAA collegian simply declare for the draft?

This behavior lately is ridiculous as a fan of NCAA and NBA ball. The loop hole has been exposed for the current system the NBA has, and it's cheapening the NBA Draft. Forget the age limit non-sense, I think the NBA needs to do something about players being able to enter just to see where they could potentially go.

I think college coaches who have to deal with this crap, should have the right to withdraw a player's scholarship if they want to 'test the waters.'

The rule though in college is you can only declare two times. The first time you can "test the waters" and pull out before the draft. Once you do that though, the next time you declare, you can't withdraw(i.e. Brandon Bass). That is the reason why you will see a lot of college athletes declare a year before they plan on leaving - just to "test the waters".

    yeah

As of yesterday 65 underclassmen had declared. There are only 60 picks in the draft and there are seniors and foreigners. 65!! This is ridiculous.

    That's just flat out rediculous.

We can only pray that the NBA passes the 20+ age limit, and then most players would have to attend college for at least 2 years. [IMG]
