<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bulls have a hometown advantage, since Marshall?s fianc?e and three kids still live in the suburbs. Management will think hard about offering Marshall the midlevel, though there is probably no reason for the Bulls to have both Marshall and Othella Harrington next year.

A less expensive alternative to Marshall would be Milwaukee?s Toni Kukoc. If the Bulls pursue Kukoc, it would be with a one-year deal, considering the 6-foot-10 forward will turn 37 in September, averaged a career-low 5.6 points last season and missed 29 games because of injury.

Michael Ruffin doesn?t shoot from the outside, but the Washington power forward caught the Bulls? attention during the first-round playoff series and moved way up on the wish list. The 6-9 Ruffin is quick on his feet and plays smart defense. It became obvious during the playoffs that the Bulls can use some interior depth.

One question about Ruffin is his free-throw shooting. He showed vast improvement against the Bulls in the playoffs, hitting 9 of 12 shots, but he made just 43.3 percent during the season.</div>

I would absolutely LOVE having Donyell back. No Othella then, but that's alright, Donyell would make this team so much more dangerous. He's a solid post defender and can light up teams from three, exactly what we need.

Toni Kukoc I'm a little skeptical on. I think it would be similar to the time we signed Scottie Pippen. We don't exactly know what he has left, but he could really help us if he has something left in the tank. And as a side note, there may be a dispute between the jersey number 7 between him and Gordon, and the veteran always wins, and I already bought my Gordon jersey [IMG]

Michael Ruffin would come a lot cheaper than those 2 guys, and would be a decent fit. However, it's our offense that needs help, not particularly our defense (but it would help). If we could get a scorer along with Ruffin, than I see no harm in trying to get him.

i'd prefer Marshall, Kukoc is too old.

As a fan from Toronto, I'm interested in stuff happening to my man Yell.

I think Marshall would be a good fit for any team. He brings so many positives to any team and can play inside and out and plays good defense. He has a lot of length I think it would be worth it.

It looks good for Chicago if his family is there. I hope Marshall the best, the man is a very respectable player even at his age.

I'm sort of a fan of Chicago, because Gordan and Hinrich seem like very hard-working guys. The only part about Chicago I don't like is Curry and his bad work-ethic. The bulls are sure to have good years ahead!

Marshall won't come for cheap. He is big, has range, and is a great defensive rebounder. I think he will command at least the MLE.

I can't help but wonder why Paxson would be interested in adding free agents. His top priorities would be keeping Curry, Chandler and Duhon. Even after those goals are met and even if he still has money left to spend, I don't think that the Bulls should go after any player who would want a long term and big contract. For a young team, you would need to think of the future, when Marshall would be a dead contract at 35 years old and declining in productivity, and Gordon, Deng and Nocioni are all free agents and wanting big contract extensions. Would it be wise to be in a financial deadlock then?

You should give curry a little more credit with his work ethic, its been lame at times but this last year it improved vastly. i think as he is maturing he understands how cool this whole thing can be, this year it seemed his will got a little stonger- keep on goin curry we need you
