Seattle Prep forward Martell Webster announced his decision to sign with an agent and forfeit his collegiate eligibility. The cornerstone of the Huskies' recruiting class now heads directly to the NBA draft June 28, when analysts predict he will be one of the first 15 selections. Webster was not available for comment yesterday. His announcement came in the form of an e-mail to area media sent from a Seattle law firm. Webster in the e-mail said he had signed with agents Arn Tellem, Bob Myers and Chris Luchey of SFX Sports Management. "I chose these gentlemen because of their professionalism, integrity and excellent track record," said Webster, who had been linked in published reports to agents Aaron and Eric Goodwin. </div> Source
Best high school player coming out in this years draft. He already has an NBA body and a great jumper. He can score from anywhere on the court and should be a nice pickup to a team such as the Magic, Warriors, Clippers, or the Bobcats in that area of the draft. A low risk player for a high schooler which is rare these days. Webster is big and strong and should be able to hit the boards at the NBA level.
