The last 16 seconds of the game was a great on both Carlisle and Larry Brown's part to call back to back timeouts and let the fans give Reggie a standing ovation and bring him to tears. Farewell Reggie.
Respect. This guy is and always has been a class act, an ambassador for the game. I'm sad to see him go, but he's left a great legacy for young players to follow in his footsteps.
Congrats to Reggie for a great career!!! Another legend has retired!! Thanks for the great memories!!!
i cried when i saw reggie sit down while the crowd roared with applause the NBA will miss him and his presence on the court.
I feel sorry for Reggie. The Pacers were a very good team before the "Brawl". This year he had great chance of getting to or winning the finals. Artest owes a big appology to Reggie. Things aren't going to be the same without him. Everytime I think Pacers, I think Reggie Miller. He's going to a better place now..... .....The Hall Of Fame
Has to be my favorite player all time after Hakeem and Ryan Bowen. He opened the game up for so many guys, let all us skinny dudes that had weird looking shots play. . Just an amazing person to meet, if any of you ever get the chance, he is humble, and isn't afraid to carry a conversation. Man, it's gonna be weird not seeing him stretching on the sidelines, running off curls, seeing replays of him just shooting over people. I remember as a kid trying to mirror my game like his, the coming off picks, the leaning to one side. Just wanted to say, thanks Reggie .. I'm gonna miss you.
I was almost tearing up at the end of the game. The one thing I would have wanted was for the announcers to just stop talking and let everyone soak it in. Great class shown by both Carlisle and especially Larry Brown. I really can't imagine the NBA without his presence but I guess we'll find out what it's like next season. He provided me so many memories as a fan of the NBA, I just hope he stays in the NBA in some way, shape or form. Who knows? I can see him paired next to Charles, Kenny and EJ for inside the NBA.
Wow, It's so sad and humbling to see one of the greats leave ...I know that he gave his all in his final game, and he went out blazing, but I definitely think he should give it 1 more year with a healthy Pacers squad...But I respect Reggie greatly, and consider him the best shooter in NBA history, as well as the second best clutch player in NBA history as well, behind Mike...I admire him for his loyalty to Indiana and his dedication and passion for the game, and he will sorely be missed by all...
I have no respect whatsoever for the on-court Reggie Miller. Off the court, he seems like a decent guy, but that's not enough for me to commend him in anyway. It's good to see him go, and I hope he takes "the flopping movement" with him.
Im gonna miss him,he's such a great person and player. He showed this season that he could average 20 ppg but he has let the young guys develop and lead the team (Heck,Reggie will still lead this team) I hope he's gonna be back,I really do. Injuries and suspensions killed them.Pacers should've never even been in the playoffs but Reggie took them that far. ONE MORE YEAR,PLEASE! He's gone but not forgotten.

It's even hard for most players to even survive in NBA, he played 18 great seasons. Thanks for the memory Reggie!
Man I have the ultimate respect for Reggie. One of the 50 best players of all time in my opinion. It's too bad that the Pacers couldn't pull one out for him. But since my Lakers were eliminated a long time ago, I have been rooting the Pacers because of Reggie. God Bless him with whatever he does in his afterlife after basketball.
I can't remember any other player getting so much praise during a farewell tour. Even for MJ, it wasn't like this. Stockton's retirement went practically without a notice, even though he had a superior career. What is it about Reggie Miller that attracted all of this adoration in his final season? Is it something about his personality or style of play that endeared him to fans? I'm really curious about this. An an aside, is there anyone outside of Detroit who actually wanted them to win this series? Right from the beginning of the playoffs, they were the team I least want to see advance and win it all. Hopefully Miami will take them out in the next round.

Yeah it would be cool to see him be an analyst. Hopefully he is happy with whatever he is doing and enjoys his life.
Most should respect Reggie simply because he is a hard worker. When you look at him he isn't really athletically or physically gifted, he is just one of those average guys who puts in a humongous effort no matter what circumstances and that's what I appreciate him most for. A class act and a bad (as in good) basketball player, the NBA could use more people like him.
I have nothing to say, everyone pretty much said everything and I don't want to babble on about the samething. All that there is left to say is... REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE!
