The 6-foot-10 Davidson submitted his name to NBA officials for consideration in the June 28 draft. Before doing so, he talked it over with Crimson Tide head coach Mark Gottfried.

"I have advised him not to hire an agent and he has not," Gottfried said. "He wants to test the waters and has assured me on numerous occasions that he will return to Alabama if he isn't a first-round draft pick. He is in good academic standing and is on target to graduate in 2007." </div>

I was very impressed with Davidson's game from what I saw of him. But in no way do I think he's NBA ready. He shows great mobility at 6-10 but really needs to put on more weight. The best thing for him to do is comeback to college for his junior and senior year and put on more weight and improve his offensive game.

This is one of the most moronic moves I've seen in a long time. There's not a snowball's chance in hell of Davidson being drafted this year. However, since he's a legit 6-10, has nice range for his size, and is improving every year, he would have a very decent chance of being drafted in 2007. I really hope this kid pulls out. He's making a terrible mistake.

This was the part that had me rolling in the floor laughing.

Does he honestly think he is going to be a first round pick? This guy will be lucky to be a second round pick after SENIOR year. LMAO!!!
