<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">May 20, 2005 -- John Starks can't bring the defensive tenacity the Knicks desperately need. But he can try to bring the Knicks luck Tuesday in Secaucus when they participate in the NBA Draft lottery. With Isiah Thomas skipping the proceedings to concentrate on his coaching search, Starks, who's in Knicks community relations, has been chosen to sit on the dais. Knicks senior VP of basketball affairs Frank Murphy will be in the holding room where the ping-pong balls will spill out of the machine, holding the Knicks' fate. "I see it as a great honor," Starks said yesterday while attending an MSG Cheering for Children Foundation function on the Upper East Side (the Knicks have donated $600,000 and volunteers to build 10 playgrounds across New York). "Hopefully we'll get a good pick. I guess I uphold what the Knicks stand for over the years as well as being a good human being," Starks said. </div> Source
Hopefully Starks can help us. I bet if he gives us luck and we get the 1st overall pick, people will say they tried to help out New York instead of realizing Starks just being a lucky guy!
Maybe he'll give us the same amount of luck we got when we got the first overall pick to draft Ewing. But we had a worst record that year I think. mrj18 I wouldnt mind if they did fix the draft to get us the number one pick. We need all the help we can get. Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

That was a while back, Purple Fever. He was temporarily coaching some kind of CBA team and he was working shorty with Lenny Cooke. But he's finished with that, he's long moved on.
