Brandon Hunter report from Celtics.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Photo: NBAE/Getty Images Tale of the Tape: 6-7, 260, Ohio, Rookie Skinny: It probably won't be too early in the season, but Hunter will, at some point get a chance to show what he can bring to the table. In college he was a tenacious rebounder, as he led the nation in rebounding his senior season, and rebounding is something the Celtics definitely need. One thing the Celtics can count on is while Hunter waits for his chance, he will be a huge asset in practice. He is a tireless worker who will push people in practice and make the team better. If Hunter proves he can bang with the big boys look for his minutes to increase as the season goes on. Questions: There aren't too many 6-7 power forwards in the NBA. Will Hunter be like Malik Rose and Carlos Boozer, or will he be added to the list of college standouts that weren't tall enough to make it in the NBA. That's a question only Hunter can answer, but he's off to a good start with the type of work ethic he brings to the table. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm really hoping this guy gets some solid minutes eventually on the year. It's obvious that when he's in he'll be in strictly for rebounds which the celts need if they want to conitnue the three parade. Hunter is NOT going to provide much offensive help not this year even though he did put together very solid scoring numbers in the summer league. When he's in that's when youre going to see Pierce and Walker taking over the offense which they are supposed to do but even more so. I think if they give him 25 or so minutes a game (which may be a huge stretch for his rookie year) he could give 5 points a game and 5 or 6 rebounds but more likley he'll get under 20 minutes a game and will put up numbers that look more like 3 and 4.
If he can dominate in the summer league then there is good chance that he can make an impact off the bench. He kind of reminds of Lonny Baxter. His thickness and muscle makes up for his lack of height.
