that list is crap. i dont think the guy that did it has ever watched a game in his life...probably just looking at stats and reading the tabloids. my complaints...
    #

    5) Tracy McGrady is NOT the fifth best player in the league. I'd put Nowitzki, and AK47 above him..maybe even J. O'neal and LBJ.

    15) The best point in the league is Cassell?
    18) Steve Nash the second best point in the league??
    27) I like Dwayne Wade, and he's was a great rookie...but to say he's better than VC, and Webber is crazy.

    31) Maggette in the 31 spot....to hight.....definately in the upper 40's.

    36) Z. dont think he's in the top 50. Maybe...but he'd be higher....after francis, webber, arenis, finley and hamilton

    37) Dampier.....in the top 50!!!!???? No comment on that one. its just dumb

    38) Billups. He had a great playoffs...but he's not above Hamilton

    41) Vince Carter at 41!!!?? No, no no. Vince is at very least on par with Allen, Peja, Peirce and Cassel.

    50) Tayshaun Prince!!!!! Come on now, guy's a good defender...but he's not the best, or even the second best, and his offensive game is weak at best. He's a great role player..but not worthy of the top 50, or top 100 for that matter.

    Here's my modified list...

    1. Kevin Garnett, PF, Timberwolves
    2. Tim Duncan, PF, Spurs
    3. Shaquille O'Neal, C, Heat
    4. Kobe Bryant, SG, Lakers
    9. Andrei Kirilenko, SF, Jazz
    8. Jermaine O'Neal, PF, Pacers
    6. Dirk Nowitzki, PF, Mavericks
    7. Yao Ming, C, Rockets
    5. Tracy McGrady, SG, Rockets
    10. LeBron James, SG, Cavaliers
    41. Vince Carter, SG, Raptors
    17. Allen Iverson, PG, 76ers
    20. Jason Kidd, PG, Nets
    19. Baron Davis, PG, Hornets
    13. Ray Allen, SG, SuperSonics
    14. Paul Pierce, SG, Celtics
    12. Peja Stojakovic, SF, Kings
    25. Pau Gasol, PF, Grizzlies
    23. Ron Artest, SF, Pacers
    11. Elton Brand, PF, Clippers
    16. Ben Wallace, C, Pistons
    30. Kenyon Martin, PF, Nuggets
    34. Amare Stoudemire, PF, Suns
    46. Chris Webber, PF, Kings
    24. Stephon Marbury, PG, Knicks
    15. Sam Cassell, PG, Timberwolves
    45. Steve Francis, PG, Magic
    28. Lamar Odom, SF, Lakers
    18. Steve Nash, PG, Suns
    21. Carmelo Anthony, SF, Nuggets
    22. Michael Redd, SG, Bucks
    32. Shawn Marion, SF, Suns
    33. Zach Randolph, PF, Trail Blazers
    39. Michael Finley, SF, Mavericks
    31. Corey Maggette, SF, Clippers
    26. Richard Jefferson, SF, Nets
    27. Dwyane Wade, PG, Heat
    35. Rasheed Wallace, PF, Pistons
    40. Richard Hamilton, SG, Pistons
    42. Mike Bibby, PG, Kings
    43. Brad Miller, C, Kings
    44. Andre Miller, PG, Nuggets
    47. Gilbert Arenas, PG, Wizards
    48. Jason Richardson, SG, Warriors
    37. Zydrunas Ilgauskas, C, Cavaliers
    49. Rashard Lewis, SF, SuperSonics
    38. Chauncey Billups, PG, Pistons
    29. Carlos Boozer, PF, Jazz
    dampier replacment - Antawn Jamison
    prince replacment - Donyell Marshall

some might say AK is too high, but he's an incredible player. Puts up numbers across teh board night in and night out. and he does the little things too. I wanted to put him above Kobe, but i didnt. He might be a bit back.
Side note: i dont think there is much difference talent wise between Kobe and Vince Carter...Kobe's more intense consistently. But if you put both of them in game on the best game nights of there lives...i think VC would take it

02civic, I think the man is basing his list for next season, not the current matter so that's why his list seems crap like you say it is.

The 05-06 season is NOT the upcoming season and tons of his rankings are pure exaggerations and idiocy. This guy has some serious problems. Anyone can put a bunch of players a list and not consider its accuracy and crap like that.
Vince should be in the top 15 atleast. Don't even mention that "oh, you're a vince fan so you're automatically going to rank him high". It's just my honest prediction that he will be a top 15 player, or even a top 10 player like he used to be. The pre-season is pointless, but he has shown that he has a dynamic man-on-man defense. I can't wait for him to have his career season next season. Also, I can't believe Samuel Dalembert isn't in the top 50 [IMG]

Eh, this list is sketchy. Carlos Boozer is better than Chris Webber? Richard Jefferson is better than Vince Carter?

Edit: Nevermind, I see now that the list is meant to be a projection for next season.

    The problems with the list:

    Peja Stojakovic is too high

Cassell is higher than Iverson, Jason Kidd [injuries could be why] and Baron Davis

Nash is too high on the list

Carmelo is higher than Michael Redd, Carter, Maggette, Randolph, Francis, Webber, and Amare, he'll improve this year but I don't see him being better than those guys.

Vince Carter is too low, should be at least top 20, probably higher

Really, the bonified franchise players should be the guys in the top 20, not guys like Nash and Cassell who are complimentary players, and their are many more mistakes, but this is one of the worst ones I've seen

I thought Jamison was finally getting some love by the analysts, I guess not by this one. I think Dwyane Wade at number 27 is too high. I think he belongs in the 30's or 40's. Michael Redd should be higher on the list. Prince and Wbber should be out of the top 50. AI definitely should be higher than 17, that's a no brainer.

So how come in the RealGM rankings Duncan is the better PF than Garnett, but KG is the best player in the NBA. That list is pretty twisted, but it is just one mans oppinion. You really can't argue with the top five, but from then on everything is questionable.

It's ironic how Wade and Odom are right next to each other..... *sigh*

    27. Dwyane Wade, PG, Heat
    28. Lamar Odom, SF, Lakers

I expect Lamar to have a monster season though, especially considering he'll be back at the 3 spot.

I am thinking for the gm rankings seriously KG is so good on the court he can play the sf and pf with out any problems and most likely they did not say who is better KG or Duncan they said who do you think is the best sf/pf and the votes amoung the gms got split because 1/2 think he is a sf and 1/2 think he is a pf because he is such a good all around player. You know? There not going to vote the same guy for 2 positions.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It's ironic how Wade and Odom are right next to each other..... *sigh*

Ya I am expecting big things out of Lamar, but he needs to find his spot in the lakers right now, he is having some trouble but he says he will be ready for the season, this is what pre-season is for tho you know.

I did find it funny that Miami's #1 players is right ahead of the Lakers #1 and that Miami's #2 player is right ahead of Lakers #2 player. Seriously tho you think this guy is a Heat fan, I don't think Wade is going to have a good year due to the fact he is with Shaq, Shaq will be calling for the ball on offense a lot, I don't care what he says or will say it is just Shaq.

Seriously tho, Odom > Wade, Kobe > Shaq. Shaq could not guard Kobe in a one on one game, Kobe is just to fast. If Shaq posted Kobe up, Kobe would just draw the foul due to the size difference. Shaq is coming out of his prime, he might have lost 30 pounds or whatever but it is not going to bring back his ability to get fouled and make the shot and a possible 3 point thing which he lost in the last two season. So really Lakers in my opinion not just as a Laker fan but as a Basketball fan are in a better shape than the Heat. More Talent, more youth, more heart.

Zach top 15 player minimum 25-12-3 man, Marion top 20 (18-9-5-3), Amare (24-11-3) this year maybe top 20 as well.

J-Rich and Franchise should be up there this year as well.

    Prince-no way
    Rasheed- maybe top 50

Interesting, only one Spur in the top 50? shows how damn good Tim Duncan is to carry a team to two titles without another top tier player besides him.

As for the list, after the top 6 they have got it quite bad. Yao at 7? AK47 ay 9? AI at 17? Pierce at 14? c'mon now.

Erick Dampier at 36 with Jammal Magloire not on the list...not that Jammaal deserves top 50 but he's way better than Dampier. Also Tay Prince at 50? So he played good D on like Devean George in the finals big deal! Boozer over Marion thats jsut weird!
