PG: Allen Iverson, Eric Snow,John Salmons, Aaron McKie SG: Willie Green, Allen Iverson, Aaron McKie, Andre Iguodala, John Salmons SF: Glenn Robinson, Kenny Thomas, Kyle Korver, Andre Iguodala, John Salmons PF: Kenny Thomas, Brian Skinner, Marc Jackson C: Samuel Dalembert, Marc Jackson, Brian Skinner[/B] Jim has said at a recent 76ers meeting that he will in fact place Allen as the one, and have Snow come of the bench. He has praised Willie Green, and wants to start him. No intentions of placing Oguodala at the starting spot, as that would be one of the dumbest moves, you don't give rookies the starting spot when you have a superstar player on your team, and some role players on there as well.
Hmm,I really dont like that move my Jim can you give a link to the press confrence though? PG-AI SG-Willie Green SF-Andre Iguodala,I would rather start a defensive player and have a shooter come off the bech. PF-Kenny Thomas C-Samuel Dalembert
There isn't a link, there will be though in the near future though, I'm pretty sure. It was just a luncheon for the coaching staff, and season ticket holder, it was FREE! Why start a defensive player when you have enough in Kenny, and Sammy, they should be enough. I would rather start a veteran, however sorry he may be, but still start him, and give him the oppurtunity to once again try and help Allen. Jim has said that he wants to put one big man, three perimeter shooters, and Allen on the floor. This means Iguodala will not included in the mix. I don't know why many of you (Sixer fans) want Andre to start so bad?
im glad to see AI run the point again...but now he wont score as much and shoot as much which is kind of a good thing..but i would like to see him get one more Scoring Championship.....i agree i dont think we should go ahead and start Iguodala he is young and has to learn and Willie was pretty good in Summer League...and coach o'brien likes shooters...and Green did an okay job last year for us...i think it should be exactly like Sasha had it...atleast a couple of games to see how it will work...
I would rather that Allen takes us far in the playoffs while averaging 20 points if he must somehow than get a scoring championship.
i would too..but im just saying i wish he could get another...but whatever is best for the team i guess...really doesnt matter
C- Sammy PF- Kenny Thomas SF- Glenn/ Id give him another chance. SG- Willie Green-----looking forward to it. PG- AI-- Its good to see him running the point.
C-sammy he is our best defender :thumbsdow PF-kenny he is our key person SF-Andre he is a good scorer SG-AI he is def ready PG-willie lets go run the point for us
What are those comment implying lil nba, seems to me that you have no knowledge whatsover on the 76ers team. Dalambert as best defender, Andre as a good scorer, you mind telling me how you gathered all of this to actually make sense in some way?
so AI is back to the point this year? not a bad move actually...specially with willie's breakout year, and all the depth you guys have at the 3 spot. with DC, kenny, skinner and sammy, you guys are pretty stacked up front too. with coach obrien runnin the show...man, watch out for the sixers this year!

Iverson is playing the point, that's pretty cool, I'd like to see how that pans out, if that happens, this is my prediction. PG - Allen Iverson (/SG) / Snow / McKie / Salmons / Iggy SG - Willie Green (/PG) / Salmons / Mckie / Iguodala SF - Glenn Robinson / Iguodala / Korver / Salmons PF - Kenny Thomas / Brian Skinner / Jackson C - Samuel Dalmbert / Marc Jackson / Skinner Obviously Iverson and Green will likely just play as 2 ball handling guards instead of strict PG and SG, would it be a possiblity that Iggy could start at the 2 over Green?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">OMFG I TOOtally AGREE WITH YOU MAN.</div> We have two airheads, nice to know you guys. Seriously, how can you agree with a post like that, it has no substance to it.
G- AI G- Willie Green F- Glenn Robinson (if he stays) F- Kenny Thomas C- Samuel Dalembert bench 1. Arron Mckie 2. Anderi 3. John Salmons 4. Kyle Korver 5. Marc Jackson 6. Skinner 7. Buckner 8. DC This is what I predict of the starting lineup if everything stays as it is now. Hopefully they will trade away glenn robnison for dampier or walker mabye. I am still putting DC on the roaster even if it has been said he will either be traded or waived. Although iggy is ranked higher in my bench than john salmons I see salmons taking up the most minutes at the 2/ swing man spot out of the two. I think korver will be used sparingly do to the depth in that spot on the team.
My starter would probably have to be like this: PG: Allen Iverson SG: Andre Iguodala SF: Glenn Robinson (only for a year) PF: Kenny Thomas C: Samuel Dalembert
