What do you think the Lakers should do in the offseason?Trades, Free Agency, Draft?
    I think
    1. Trade Odom if he isn't attacking consistently and showing up every night.
    2. Try to get another big man to help the front line.
    3. Try to bring in a defensive role player.

    I say #3, and pass on #1, and #2

I think we have enough big men in the front line, Kwame and Mihm are only going to get better and play more effectively and stay out of foul trouble

And Bynum, well hopefully he will get more playing time.

I think right now, if Odom shows up the way he has been doing the past few games, we are perfectly fine. I would however like to see them get a defensive role player. And the name that comes to mind when I say that is none other than Ron Artest. But we'll see what happens.

I think it's way to early to talk about the offseason yet. Give this Laker squad a little more time to get to know the Triangle and each other a little better before we decide what we need to do in the off season. We're still under half way through the season. After the All Star break, I believe the Lakers will be playing even better than they are right now.

Aint it too damn early to think about the offseason. I hope you guys arent losing faith in the lakers. Like phil said... " One game at a time." Besides why would you want to trade odom when he has stepped up big time in big games when phil jackson has asked him too. I dont think the lakers will trade odom for many reasons. And i like this team as it is right now. I hope no trades are made unless its for KG. This team is growing and its showing. Hopefully we can make some noise in the playoffs this season and get back as contenders in 2007.

Bring in a specialist 3 point shooter and a defensive specialist. We need somebody who can come off the bench and hit the three a couple of times. We also need a defensive specialist, although I think we may already have that in Ronny Turaif.

Ronny will be our defensive specialist. Alonzo like. I hope. I think the lakers should persue Peja Stojakovic considering the fact hes only wearing the kings jersey for the last year.

Proposal: Mihm + Madvadenko + Miami 1st round for Peja and Skinner

Don't Sacramento need to resign him if they want to trade him? If they do, I don't think the numbers work out.

Trading Odom would be the worst move we could make, IMO. In no way have I been satisfied with Odom in the past two seasons, however he is very important to our success. His all around game makes it much easier for everyone else on the team, whether he has a good or bad game. He is our best rebounder, and that being from the 3 spot. His defense isn't the best but I believe it isn't as bad as some say. One of the main reasons for our success so far in this season has been because we have been able to outrebound opponents. Odom picks up the slack for Mihm, who isn't a bad rebounder himself. Kwame up front has also helped us a lot this season. Again as inconsistent as he is in point production, I believe he is much, MUCH more valuable to our success than anyone thinks.. I just hope the Laker front office also realizes this.
