I know its way too early but I do have a few observations based off pre-season and the 1st 4 games (10 games total. Starting a season 2-2 with those losses coming to the Clippers and Warriors isn't something to be too upset about, but I do have a few concerns. Relying too heavily on big nights from individual play and less on team play Team seems slightly out of sync 2nd unit has the talent but zero flow at this point Now with those 3 things being said I think there are pretty reasonable answers for those and I think they will sort out on their own. Mo and Al need to start making shots and Mason needs to keep passing but dribble a little less in the half court. Players roles have changed since last season along with the addition of new players so this should level out as the season goes on. On the upside I do feel like the team has a lot of things to feel good about Dame is definitely going to have his name in the MVP hat all season CJ looks like he is feeling more confident and a little more under control so far Overall depth is great I believe Turner will get into a better rhythm with the rotation and be the guy we hoped he would be. Once he starts hitting a few shots it will change how teams have to defend him. Vonleh is looking much improved and I like how Stotts is easing him into the rotation. Now a bit more on the negative observations. I have been a pretty big supporter of ML and patience for his development but Meyers looks completely lost more than ever. Mo and Aminu seem lost in the mix with the starting unit, not sure if it;s them or the ball being over-dominated by DL and CJ. Most might disagree with this next statement, but I am not exactly sure what is up, but I am not feeling a lot of confidence in what I am seeing from Crabbe so far.
2nd youngest team in the NBA playing like the 2nd youngest team. Are there any once in a generation centers in college that we should tank for?
Not a center (at least not yet), but Lillard knows this guy, how about another project pf to go with Vonleh? http://www.nbadraft.net/players/ivan-rabb
Sentiments agreed! Seems that many might be having trouble playing up to the level of their new contracts!! At least a little psychological trouble!! But mostly.....its too early to evaluate this. Let's discuss again after 20 games.
1/15th of the way. 7 wins 6 losses. Has much changed? Rebounding and defense still a major problem. Still losing games to "strong" teams. BUMP THREAD.
