The ones I'm aware of are: Bryce Benekos (Punter - UTEP) - Good call...still not sold on "Sander." Roy Manning (6-2, 246) - Michigan Linebacker Chris Samp (6-2?, 226) Winona State Receiver (and GB Native) Patrick Dendy - Cornerback from Rice (out of football last year) Garrett Cross - Tight End - Cal (Rodgers old teammate) Chaz Williams - Quarterback - Georgia Southern (converting to RB/Kick Returner) Zac Woodfin - Linebacker - Alabama Birmingham Not sure about the others.
So they are all UFA's? Then there is no bad signings, you bring them to camp, see what they got and if they got nothing you scrap em.
Yes, they were all UFA's brought in after the draft. The most intriguing seem to be Roy Manning (Michigan's all time leading tackler at linebacker), the punter (who was also a holder for three years) and the tight end from Cal...because Green Bay's Tight End situation basically blows. I don't know much about the other guys, but they don't really sound like anything special. I know they were really excited about Manning. And I wouldn't be surprised to see the punter make the team and embarrass both B.J. Sander and Mike Sherman for that whole failed experiment last year.
The other UFA's the Packers brought in are... Vincent Butler - WR - Northwestern Oklahoma State Chris White - Guard - Southern Miss A.J. Lindsay - DT - Temple Leigh Torrance - CB - Stanford One note for the Bears...they brought in Darrin Charles, WR from Wisconsin since he went undrafted. Nice move.
