They will either come out hungry and confidant, looking to rebound from Friday's terrible loss, or they may still have the loss in their head and be UN focused. It's important for the Sixers to forget about the Knicks loss and move on to the Bucks. The last time thee two teams met A.I was able to do his thing dropping a season high 40 points on the Bucks. With that I expect Allen to come out aggressive, cause if he gets going it rubs off on are ball club as well. But the other Sixers well need to step up scoring also, because in are first meeting with the Bucks there were only three Sixers who scored in double figures. Recently Green has been playing well earning a starting spot over Korver, I expect to see him play like he wants to keep the job, and I expect Korver to be working harder on his game, if we could get quality minutes form him off the bench it would be a nice asset to our offense. The Sixers will also need to perform well on defense. The Bucks should be hungry, because they are on a little slump themselves. The Sixers cannot give them open looks on the perimeter because the Bucks will knock them down with ease. Also the Sixers need to be aggressive on D but not overly aggressive, we have to make the Bucks commit turnovers, in the last meeting they had only 7 turnovers. Our players in the paint need to stay out of foul trouble, especially Samuel Dalembert, we miss his inside presence and shot blocking ability when he is on the bench with fouls. Last but not least the 76ers just need to play as team in a sense of urgency, it seems as if we can't get everyone on the right page offensively. Maybe we should run some offense with Ollie at the point and AI at two guard, because we are missing just time of pure offense and ball movement. For example when the Knicks were making a run on us we weren?t able to slow down the tempo and just run the offense, instead we kept taking quick jumpers and that?s not going to slow down opponents momentum. <div align="center"><u><font color="blue"> Key Matchup</u></div></font> <div align="center"></div> <font size="1">Both of these teams need their stars to step up and lead their team to victory. I'm expecting Allen to have another big game. I also have a feeling Michael Redd will get his open looks all night, and he will have a big night as well. If these players can get their teamates invloved will be the key.</font> My Prediction: The Sixers are going to have to step up and rebound from last night's loss. I expect Allen to have a good all around game and the other Sixers will get involved and have solid game all around. I have a gut feeling that this is going down to the wire and we will get are hearts crushed again.
I'm still thinking and still quite upset about last nights lost, now I don't if the players feel the same way, but regardless if they do or not last nights game will affect they?re performance tonight. Now whether they will think about it and turn something positive out of it such as taking their aggression out on the Bucks or they will keep their heads down, and just wait till they get back home. But whatever the case may be it will show in tonight?s game that?s for sure. As for the outcome of the game, I think the Bucks will take it simply because I think last night loss will play as a confidence killer. We have many young guys on this team and the lost that they suffered last night showed the harsh reality that it isn?t over till its over in the NBA. So basically, out of all the guys on the roster, I think Iverson, Jackson and Thomas will be able to make something positive out of the lost to the Knicks( ). Bucks by 7
Great win for the Sixers, 116-97. Iverson had a great game with 54 points, just 4 points of his career high! This should lift them up after the loss to the Knicks. It was a great game with Korver, Iggy, and Williamson in double digits, I mean, everyone added to this one. Especially Iverson hahaha. But whats up with that technical foul by Williamson? I wasn't watching the game, so someone fill me in.
It doesnt get much better then a win like this, I love how Allen responds to the New York game, that shows his stregth and mental toughness, the rest of the squad did their thing to and showed mental toughness as well. Not to mention are players are starting to recognize their role's even though Sammy didnt score many points this game he pulled down 15 boards and had 3 blocks. Hopefuly this will ignite the Sixers to a winning streak, and I know this game is going to give them plenty of confidence. I couldn't have witnessed a better response after that NY loss then this game.
lol the one game that isnt on CSN, Iverson scores 54............ How lucky can you get? Well Since I didn't watch this game, I really have nothing to say except GREAT WIN FOR THE SIXERS, ESPECIALLY 54 FOR IVERSON!
Wow Iverson explodes, he's really proving that at his age he's still capable of big nights like this. I seriously thought that his banged-up body can no longer bear all the hacks he's gotta get when he goes to the bucket. But I guess I forgot about one thing, noone can take away his heart.
I knew this one would be a blow out cause AI killed Mo Williams last game with 40 points but this game Mo played with concussion. Maybe he would've dropped 60 on them if he had played all 48 but It's good that he didn't cause we won by 19.
lol I was just waiting for A.I.`s 50+ game. Just an amazing shooting display by The Answer. He becomes the 93rd player ever to reach 15,000 points. When you watch Iverson put on 50+ games if makes you look back on how much he has done in his career. I was again a little worried when the Buck cut it to 4 in the 3rd but thanks to Iversons shooting, we pulled it out.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">[IMGl]http://www.nba.com/media/sixers/allen-iverson_170_041218.jpg[/IMGl] Iverson scored a league season-high 54 points - the sixth 50-point game of his career - as the Philadelphia 76ers rode their superstar to a 116-97 victory over the defenseless Bucks. Six days ago, Iverson lit up Milwaukee for his 51st career 40-point game in a 107-101 win. This time, he was even better. The three-time scoring champion made 17-of-29 shots and 16-of-21 free throws. He made three early 3-pointers to spread the defense for his penetration and repeatedly attacked the big men of the Bucks. "I felt good. My shot was on," Iverson said. "Coach called all the right plays. He found out that I was in a rhythm and he called the plays."</div> <div align="center">Recap Box Score Postgame Notes</div> Very good win and an amazing performance by Iverson. Even though I'm still upset over the Knicks lost, after this very convincible win I think the players got that chip off their shoulder. These wins are just building their momentum which is great because not too long from now, they are going to embark on an 8 game road trip and facing some quality teams at it. We will go against teams such as the Blazers, Minnesota, Sonics, Clippers etc. So each win is helping their confidence and they have one more game at home before heading out on the road trip so hopefully they can pick up another win. Next up, Utah Jazz.
