Keys To The Game

[*]Focus On Playing Defensively ? In the last meeting with these two teams, Gilbert Arenas was held to only 1-12 shooting for a grand total of 3 points, but my have things have changed since then. After coming off a 60 point performance last week in LA and a 54 point performance in Phoenix on Friday, he's going to be hungry for more.[*]Force Wizards Into Foul Trouble ? The Grizzlies led in the foul categories only commiting 15 fouls, while Washington comitted 29. If Memphis can play focused like they did against Utah and frustrate the Wizards, this can lead to positive things for the Grizzlies.[*]Get Off To A Fast Start ? For Washington, the outcome of the game is usually generated by how well they perform in the beginning of the game. Again, the Grizzlies need to force the Wizards into shooting low-percentage shots and get them off their game.[*]Hibachi! ? That lately has what been Arenas was able to shout as he nails jumper after jumper. Coming off a terrible 3 point performance at Memphis last month, he'll be hungry to make it up, so his efforts will be a key.[*]Defend The Perimeter ? Leaving the 3 open for the other teams have been hurting Washington as the Wizards leads get shortened game after game and Memphis is not a team to be ignored. The Grizzlies are 9th in the NBA shooting behind the arc, while the Wizards are last in defending the 3, and following Washington all season long, anybody who can shoot can hurt the Wizards.[*]Bench ProductionIt's going to be important for guys like Antonio Daniels, Roger Mason and Jarvis Hayes to be able to produce off the bench and create more opportunities if they want to secure a win. The Wizards are last in bench points and rebounds, so this is significant for the Wizards.[/list]

Prediction: Wizards coming off a 3 day rest is a positive thing for Washington as the Grizzlies are still struggling the find a win. I'll take Washington 118-106

Will's Prediction Record: 8-7 (Lakers over Wizards, 115-107)

    Let the winning continue....

I just expect Arenas to blow up again, I don't know, it seems like the norm now.

The grizzlies won their last game against the wizards, but believe it or not, Pau is actually HURTING them, because he is just leaving out playing time for Hakim Warrick, and with Gilbert Arenas red hot, this should be an easy win for Washington.

Gilbert Arenas vs Chucky Atkins. LMAO. Atkins will get torched on defense. I expect to see a big game from Gilbert

Man, that couldn't have been a better first half offensively scoring 77 points. I can't remember the last time we've been getting this much offensive production on this team, that's how important our big 3 is. Other than a few defensive breakdowns, we've done a good job on defense keeping the Grizzlies to one shot per possession. We've been outrebounding them, controlling the paint, and the one stat I love is the turnover margin. The Grizzlies have commited 16 turnovers, which led to more than 20 points for the Wizards, while the Wizards have only commited 2.

We're really making a case to show how dominant we are in the NBA, and we could get taking lead in the Southeast division being only 1.5 games back from Orlando. They take on the Lakers tonight, while we should blowout the Grizzlies, take an easy one with Charlotte tommorow night and face the Magic on Friday night.
