You know, I genuinely wish the best in terms of football to almost all the schools in the PAC 12. The better and more talented the conference, the more respect the U of O will get from the rest of the NCAA. I would rather not play teams that are decimated by injuries because, just as we've seen, injuries can happen and we have been fortunate enough with our depth to sustain them. Hopefully those guys get healthy soon and eventually Colorado is returned to its once great status.
Well, injuries are part of the game ad they might find some diamond in the rough right behind these guys. As to Colorado, I am perplexed as to why they have fallen on such hard times. I guess and endless string of poor recruiting coaches. But I remember when the AZ came on board. Terrible. Had to really step the program up. Or maybe after what Slick Rick did there it poisoned the program.
I get legit bummed when I read about stuff like this, or OSU and the injuries and struggles they are experiencing. These kids really work hard and its not their fault they can't compete. Discouraging when fans (typically OSU fans) BOOO their team to no end and leave at halftime (BYU game). One positive boasting point for Pac fans is that CO and Utah have yet to win a conference game (that should change when Utah plays OSU). It's not much to hold on to, but competition in the Pac isn't an easy gig.
Targus, nobody I saw left the BYU game at halftime. Some went and tailgated for a bit, but nobody left.
I have no knowledge of fans leaving. But to me if you go anywhere anytime before the end of the game, to go tailgate... thats leaving.
People go tailgate at halftime at all Beaver games. I'm sure they do at Duck games too. Nothing wrong with that. Targus was insinuating that fans were leaving the game permanently at halftime. That simply wasn't the case. It was tie game at the half!
ah so they are allowed to go out and tailgate and then come back in? That is different. I was thinking you were saying "You can leave the game permanantly to go out and tailgate, but since you arent leaving completely, its not leaving the game"
That's correct. They stamp you when you enter the stadium, which allows you to leave and re-enter. Is Autzen not the same?
Couldnt tell ya. I honestly never have tailgated lol. When I go from Hood River to Eugene gas would be insane if I ever went in a truck or SUV
I believe you. I think I saw this mentioned in an O-Live article and discussed on message boards. Good for fans hanging in there..
I will admit it was emptying out with 5 or 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter though. I stayed to the bitter end however.
