I'm gonna make a few of these. Props to GoCelts for the idea. I'll do 15 picks.#1-Tim Duncan-San Antonio Spurs. The guy has won 3 Finals MVP's for them. He is the best PF in the game right now. He is so good in the post, he has a nice jumper and probably the best post defender in the NBA right now. You can pass up a guy who has already won 3 rings for them.#2-Tracy McGrady-Are you kidding me? Can you imagine TMac and AI, sure, they would have to cut done on the FGA but that would be such a good offensive duo, maybe the best ever. That would be sweet. The Sixers would have a dynasty by now if they went with TMac.#3-Chauncey Billups-Boston Celtics-What Boston really needs is a point guard. This guy iwould be the real Truth for them. He is a great shooter, great court vision, great passer and he doesnt make stupid decisions. He probably makes the best decisions in the NBA. If the Celtics would be willing to give this guy a chance they would be a ECF team right now with Paul Pierce, Billups, Wally and their young guys.#4-Bobby Jackson-Vancouver Grizzlies-He fits in very well with them now, he was a very energetic guy, great role player shooter. He would have fit into their system perfectly.#5-Stephen Jackson-What Denver really needs right now is 1)More offense and offensive leadership and 2)A good SG. Thats why they would need this guy. He's a good role player shooter and he shines with the ball in his hands.#6-Danny Fortson-Boston Celtics-Boston could have really used a presence inside on defense, thats Fortson. Enough said.#7-Adonal Foyle-New Jersey Nets-A defensive big is what New Jersey could really need right now. Someone that could rebound and play good defense would be great for them.#8-Kelvin Cato-Golden State Warriors-Again, a defensive big who can rebound would be perfect for a team like GS.#9-Maurice Taylor-Toronto Raptors-Mo Taylor is a pretty good rebounder, shot blocker and defender. The Raptors wouldnt need anyone big. Just an average body in there would definately help us out right now.#10-Keith Van Horn-Milwaukee Bucks-He would fit in very well with the Bucks, a guy that can create mismatches and shoot the ball but not take stupid shots would be great for the Bucks slow offense.#11-Austin Croshere-Sacramento Kings-Sacramento is a shooting team so why not put a jump shooting big man who is a good scorer on their team?#12-Brevin Knight-Indiana Pacers-They need someone to pass the ball and run this offense, Brevin doesnt turn the ball over, isnt selfish and has maybe, the best vourt vision in the L#13-Antonio Daniels-Cleveland Cavaliers-The Cavs could use a great ball handling combo guard. He has good court vision and a good driver to compliment Lebron.#14-Derek Anderson-LA Clippers-His knees are blown out now but DA used to be a great defender and good shooter, he would have helped out that young Clippers squad a few years back#15-Scot Pollard-Dallas-He could be a good center off the bench for Dallas, pretty good rebounder with a decent shot.Any comments? Feel free to make ur top 15 or even top 30 if you want. If you were wondering, I didnt put on retired players.
man, looking at this just gets me depressed. first, we should have had the first pick and got Tim Duncan. Secondly, we didn't give Chauncey a chance. :no1:But it's tough to do redrafts from that long ago. The teams had different needs then. If we do it now, it should just be a player ranking from that draft.

AI and TMac would not have been that sweet. About as good as VC and Tmac, and that went no where.Move Brevin Knight, Keith Van Horn, and Antonio Daniels up. Add Tim Thomas in there somewhere.
As weak as this draft turned out to be Mo Taylor at 9 is still way off. Just because GM's were stupid and gave Croshere and Van Horn horrible contracts doesn't make Mo Taylor better than them. I think their value has been overshadowed by their horrible contracts. We forget the fact that Mo Taylor is making 9 mil this season.
I had Mo Taylor at 9 because the Raptors really need a center right now..Otherwise, I wouldnt have put him there.
He doesnt fill a void at center but he was the best center left there. And quite frankly, anything will do for the Raptors.

Big oversight there. Battie would have to be before all of them in my opinion. Even Foyle over Cato?

He kept on putting TMac down and saying he was showboating. He woulda played better if it wern't for the Raptors coach at that time.EDIT: Why would the Raptors need Mo Taylor? They had Marcus Camby at that time.
