I see alot of postings of news articles but let's get some fan interaction. It gets to the same point that I feel about the Vikes losing. I just shrug it off. The Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Timberwolves are polar opposites. The Twins always due well with a low salary cap. They have good scouts and make noise every season. They started slow last season and really heated up. But they have shown that they CAN do this. The Wolves have year after year failures, gave up multilple 1st rounders (even AFTER Joe), can't seem to find chemistry, game plan's are bad and don't seem to understand that you need a distributor, scoring from outside AND inside, rebounding, leadership. KG can only do so much. And it's an annual statement that he doesn't have enough help. People think "this guy can score" or "that guy can score", but most of these scorers can't seem to do it in the flow of the offense. And even if they do, they STIIILLLLLLLL have the identity of a We-can-get-a-big-lead-but-we'll-let-you-back-in-the-game team. KG and the starters can usually leave the game for short period of time because the bench is weak. I know it's only 6 games into the season, but when these 6 games look like the 176 prior, you begin to associate them.

It rots from the top down, the TWolves should have fired Kevin McHale after 'Joe Smith Gate.'

Kevin McHale has received too, many chances at his job and continues to fail season after season.

    Signs the wrong free agents.
    Poor evaluator of draft picks.
    Trades accomplish nothing.
Betrays their best coach and close friend, Flip Saunders.
    Overpays role players.

It's clear McHale never had a game plan and doesn't know how to build a contending team around KG.

Step 1 is fire McHale and hire a GM who understands 'Moneyball'

The TWolves are in cap purgatory, so they need a GM who can step in and start unloading these overpaid players. I'm a firm believer that any contract can be traded in the NBA, it just takes a creative and aggressive person to pull the trigger on these type of deals.

The only players I'd keep are KG, Foye, Smith, Hassell, and Griffin, everyone else is expendable.

Jaric, Ricky Davis, Mike James, Blount, Hudson, McCants, Madsen these guys are all movable and if the TWolves want to win with KG, they need to pull off a 3 for 1 deal similar to what the 76ers did to land Webber. The Twolves have to gamble on a big name, expensive player to team up with KG, and some of their promising youth.

I agree with you guys. I am starting to really dislike Casey right now. He can't get anything done! He has all these great philosiphies that I believe in, but he can't get anyone besides KG, Hassell, and Smith to do em. We have scorers, but no one is scoring. We have defenders, but no one is playing TEAM defense. Obviously McHale should have lost his job years ago, we really need to make some trades. I agree with your guys to keep Shapecity, all of them except Griffin. I don't think he has much to offer anymore.

sorry for not posting much, Bball is getting started and I have no free time.

Griffin is decent coming off the bench for the TWolves. His contract is reasonable, and when he's on the court with KG, they make tough for teams to penetrate and score. He does have baggage, but he's one of the better shotblockers in the league.

I've only seen Foye play once against the Lakers, and I watched a lot of him in college, and he's the real deal.

The DWade comparisons are dead on, becaues Foye plays the same style of basketball. He just needs a season to adapt, and he should become a consistent scorer to help KG out.

I don't like Mike James on this team. He runs too, much iso and everyone stands around watching him try to score. He also shoots the ball early in the shot clock and doesn't play any defense to make up for low percentage shots.

KG needs some two way players on the roster who can cosistently show up and excel in a specific role. James was brought in to score, but he's taking close to 15 shots to score 15 points. It's not what this team needs.

I really don't believe that Mike James was the right fit for this team. He just shoots too much and doesn't play team basketball. I pretty much only like McCants, KG, Griffin, and Foye. I mean Ricky Davis is inconsistent, Jaric is overpaid as hell, and the other players underachieve.
