With the Nets moving to Brooklyn in the near future (well a few years) how do the rest of you Knick fans feel? I personally don't think it's so great having two NY teams as it will divide people the same way that the Yankees/Mets and Giants/Jets do. I think the Knicks have always symbolised NY and having the Nets there will be a bit odd. I hope that because of Jay-Z being a co-owner etc (I thought he was a Knicks fan anyway) that the Knicks don't lose potential fans to them. It would be a shame to see the Knicks turn into the NY equivalent of the Clippers. Anyway, what do you guys think? You could have 10 teams in NY as far as I'm concerned and I'd still be a Knick !
I hate it!!! Keep them out of here! NY is Knicks NOT Nets. Anyway, if they move here, we still have the World's Most Famous Arena, and we also have all of NY instead of just Brooklyn. Nets trying to move in to get more popular still can't take away what is ours! NY = Knicks
so what so what let the nets go to brooklyn ... any 1 who become a nets fan jus cuz they move to NY isnt a real knicks fan anyway .... it'll weed them out

Just because they move to D.C. dosen't mean we have to be their fans.
The Nets are pretty much already a New York team, they get coverage on all our sports shows, we get every night game on tv, & they get a spot in all out newspapers. And its been like that forver... If you are a tri-state team then you are pretty much already a New York team. The location of the Nets moving to Brooklyn wont change the spectrum of basketball in the tri-state Knicks will always be viewed as #1, while the Nets will continue to play 2nd fiddle. But that is more due to history of each franchise rather then their locations. I think the on court rivalry will increase in intensity but it is already heading down that path because of the Nets being the 3 time Atlantic division champs. And are now a legitimate opposition to the standard of basketball the Knicks are putting on the court these days, actually better. But I dont see Knick fans converting to Nets fans just because of location, so dont get worried.

They are considered a NY team the location just doesnt matter, i guarentee that a NJ team with be created, myself living in BK, i could really care less about the NETS, I will forever be a knick fan unless TT goes to the Nets, lol jokes aside, it will just make traffic, and it will be harder to get to skool!!!
NY is a Knicks Town, just liek Chicago is a Bulls town, they should move to a place where they dont have to compete for fans, example: St. Louise, Cincinnati, what about Mexico City, i mean that stadium would have the largest nacho's ever served at a basketball game.
The Nets were already named the 'New York Nets' in the past anyways, and have been considered as an NY team, so this won't/shouldn't change anything.
