Why am I listening to this? Why am I willingly torturing myself? Anyone want to join me in my misery?

All I remember from that day was throwing my remote into a wall after the collapse. The rest was to painful for my brain to hold on to.

Why would 95.5 replay this? What sane Blazer fan wants to relive that moment?

They're doing it in snippets with commentary, bringing on Mike Rice and Antonio Harvey to discuss it. Making a whole 3 hour show of it. They're hoping it will be cathartic for those who've experienced it already, and educational for those who've only heard about it.

    Oxymoron.

I don't really want to listen to it yet.

If we win a championship here one day that'll take away a lot of the pain but until then it still burns.

It's pretty brutal that they're 'honoring' the 10-year anniversary of this. The first three quarters.. not so bad, but how can they replay the fourth? Ugh..

Just listened to Shaw's banked-in 3 at the end of the 3rd. Playing the fourth quarter starting just after 1:00. I'm going to force myself to relive it.

I had forgotten how close the game up until about 4:00 left in the third, before we went on that huge run. That alone actually makes me feel slightly better about what's coming--easy come, easy go (sort of).

95.5 can suck a bag of dicks for making me listen to that all over again.

Do you really believe that a bowling shoe is "what it's all about"?

Hey everybody, I am going celebrate getting cock punched ten years ago by getting cock punched today.

That loss isn't something worth celebrating.

I have a better idea. Replay the radio broadcast of every game of the 1977 Championship season. Better still, show them all on Comcast Sport Net.
    That shit is worth remembering.
The 2000 WCF most certainly isn't.

Perhaps next week they can replay the moment Portland chose Sam Bowie over MJ.
Or maybe we can all relive the JR Rider Era.
Or how about the time Portland lost in the finals at home three games in a row to Detroit.
Or how about a 10 part special about the Blazers in the 80's where they lost every single fucking year in the first round of the playoffs. One segment could focus on the Utah Jazz.
Or how about the 1978 season. They could rebroadcast the game where Bill Walton got hurt and destoyed the best blazer team ever.
Maybe a John Canzano retrospective concentrating on his relationship with Steve Patterson.

Anyone else have any delightful moments from Blazer history they want to relive?

This is a horrible idea. Why would any Blazer fan willingly listen to this? If you want to extract important information from me, this torturous experiment would easily get the job done. What a fucking stupid thing to "honor." 95.5 really sucks.

I remember being so pissed that Draco and I were throwing our bottles as hard as we could, shattering them all over our dorm's garbage area at Oregon State.

    That was a depressing day.

What dumbass proposed this idea to re-play it? The most monumental collapse in Blazer history is not a moment to relive again, in "celebration. " I listened to the first quarter and stopped because I found it stupid.

The only thing I can think of is that this is some kind of attempt to "reverse the curse," especially after the year this team went through. If they somehow stay healthy next season and make a deep playoff push (i.e. Oden and Brandon's knees don't explode), then I guess we'll be able to look back on this moment and point out what made the difference.

This. Do I wish to relive the day I tore up my knee? The day I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed? The day my first love dumped me? If the answer is "no", why the hell would I want to relive this game? It's been a decade and it still hurts.
