I have a couple of arguments to make here:

1)How can you put Philly over Detroit or New Jersey? They're carried by two aging players, and one could break down any game(Webber), while Detroit is still a top 5 team in the league, even after Brown, and Jersey's big three is going to bring them far. And Philly possibly won't even make the playoffs, let alone the Eastern Conference Finals.

2)I don't see how Franciso Garcia could be a league leader in steals, Telfair #1 in assists(???!!!), Dwight Howard or Lamar Odom making the all-star game(too much competition), or Jamal Mashburn actually playing more than 15 games this season, let alone winning the 6th man/MIP award.

3)Oberto, Warrick, Calderon, and Lorbeck have nearly no chance to win ROY. And where is Deron Williams on your list?

4)Pachulia has Harrington, Batista, and Collier to battle with for minutes, so it's unlikely he'll win MIP with less minutes than last season. Same with Telfair. He'll probably start, but with Jack, Dixon, and possibly Frahm on the bench, he won't play more than 25-30 minutes a game. 30 mpg isn't that little, but he probably won't improve more than other candidates, like Kwame Brown.

Mr Bryant thanks that was a good read. You're obviously a Philadelphia fan.
I agree with 98% of that.

    Few things though:

Indy will be really good, but Sarunas Jasikevicius is going to PLAY MINUTES. The only reason he went to Indy is if he could play minutes and Bird has a major appreciation for this guy.

Good call on Chris Paul lighting up the steals.

Doug Christie - take him off the disappointment list and put him on the defensive player shortlist. I think he's going to excel in Dallas, he will be comfortable playing with DN, plus Avery will bring out the best in him.

Kirilenko - if he's healthy he will RUN AWAY with the defensive player award. mark it.

NYK: I hate to say it but New York is a sleeper in the east this year.
