Since the All-star game is based more on popularity than on season stats, it may be pretty easy to predict who will be the starters of the 2005 NBA Allstar game. This is what I think:

    West
    g-kobe bryant
    g-tracy mcgrady
    f-kevin garnett
    f-tim duncan
    c-yao ming

    East
    g-allen iverson
    g-lebron james
    f-vince carter
    f-jermaine o'neal
    c-shaquille o'neal

Paul Pierce isn't a forward, he a guard...he's not going to start anytime soon at the guard spot especially with Lebron, Iverson, Kidd, Marbury all being more popular than he is.

You also didn't include Vince Carter into your list....he's still one of the most popular players in the NBA and he has little to no competition in the forward spot in the Eastern Conference after Jermaine O'neal (who will fill one of the 2 spots). The odds that VC will be starting are pretty high.

I thought that Paul Pierce played SF for the Celtics? And I left VC out because of all the speculation of a trade and I also thought that he was a guard. But if he stays in the east and is in the ballot as a foward, then VC is also a lock.

i'm pretty sure Pierce is a guard (correct me if i'm wrong) and I know for sure VC is a forward...he never has any competition in the East for the forward spot because the SF and PF positions in the East are always so weak.

Doesn't really matter anyways because he's still one of the most popular players in the league and he's going to be voted in regardless.

Pierce is a SG and Vince is a SF. Vince would be starting and Pierce wouldn't.

    West

    G-Kobe Bryant
    G-Tracy McGrady
    F-Kevin Garnett
    F-Tim Duncan
    C-Yao

    East

    G-Allen Iverson
    G-LeBron James
    F-Vince Carter
    F-Jermaine O'Neal
    C-Shaquille O'Neal

That's basically what it will be like.

I think for backups for the West you'll have Mello and Dirk. For the East Redd could be, even Mason might have a breakout year for the Bucks. Jkidd and Rasheed Wallace have chances. I dont think The other Wallace should just because of Defense though.

I want to see someone not put KG on the starting lineup just so I can laugh at him.

Agree 100%, I think Francis will be the starting PG for the East and I think Kidd is going to go down hill from here without Kenyon...Francis should get a lot of shots and points...
