What players to you expect to "breakout" next season. I made some on the money predictions about players this season before the season started<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Caron Butler- He will have a Larry Hughes like year for the Wizards. People tend to forget he averaged over 15 points per game last year. He has so much potential to be one of the best small fowards in the league.2004-2005 stats: 15.5 ppg 5.8 rpg 1.9 apgPredicted 2006 stats:18 ppg 6 rpg 4 apg</div>Butler averaged 18 and 6 just like I predicted. I was almost perfect on him other than his assists numbers.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I agree with your idea with Josh Howard. He started last year too and averged 12 points 6 rebounds and 1.5 steals.I expect him to average around 15 ppg 8 rebounds and 2 steals this season as a bigger role.</div>He averaged 15 ppg like I predicted. I was almost right on the money<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I agree with that statement of Chris Bosh being an all star. The east all star centers are limited so he should make it fairly easy. I think he will average 20 and 10</div>22 and 10. Close enough :dribble:Here are mine for next year:Chuck Hayes- He puts up good numbers for the short amount of time he plays. I expect with his bigger role next season for him to average around 10 and 8.Zaza Pachulia- Averaged 12 and 8 last season. I predict 15 and 10 next season.DeShawn Stevenson- He has to breakout sometime right?I will add some more later.
Kwame, a full summer should do it...I hopeTuriaf, once again full summer, great worth ethic.Odom, full summer, change of mindset.Smush, conditioning overhaul.I'm not a homer I just watch the lakers the most.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chuck Hayes- He puts up good numbers for the short amount of time he plays. I expect with his bigger role next season for him to average around 10 and 8.</div>Didn't expect anyone to notice him besides Rockets fans. Anyway, I think he'll do better. But, he's undrafted, and he's not going to be a superstar. I remember Jeff Van Gundy saying one time that he plays well in short stretches, but his performance is decreased when you play him, say 30 minutes. However, he is a great hustler, and I'm glad the Rockets resigned him.
Keep an eye out for Yao Ming to continue his stellar play. I see him continuing his post all star 26 and 12 into the season, and ahving his ebst year
God I hope Al Jefferson breaks out. People just put too much pressure on him to do it this year, plus his ankle injuries, plus the fact that he's only 21! made people dissapointed. I wasn't, but either way, we need him next year. We really need his post presence and rebounding.I hate making statistical predictions, but seeing a good 13/7-8 from Big Al would be excellent and it would help this team so much.
Martell Webster. Pure shooter who is learning how to adjust to the NBA game. At the end of the year we got to see his athleticism a bit, and WOW, he can throw it down. Plus it was nice to see him play some scrappy D in the extra minutes he got near the end of the season.
Watch Charlie V.Also Dwight Howard....again and again and again. He'll incredibly improve EVERY season.
Marcus Banks will improve. Expect 14 and 7 from Minnesota's new point guard.I would say Jared Jefferies, but Zards has used his persuasive ability to make me think otherwise. Way to go Zards!Tony's call on Zaza Pacullia is a good call, but it depends on the draft. And the off season. If Al Harrington gets traded for a big man, I'm not so sure about Zaza. If the Hawks draft a big man, same scenario.Tayshaun Prince will increase his scoring by at least 4 ppg. The playoffs proved that he can score, and it's only a matter of when he will become less selfish. Detroit hasn't had a 20 point per game scorer since Jerry Stackhouse, could Prince be the next? Yes.
If we get rid of Retaard Magloire I expect Andrew Bogut to put up 15/9 a game, look for a big statistical improvement from him.

This may be a homer pick, but I expect Andre Iguodala to average atleast around 15 points, 7 rebounds and around 4 assists a ball game next season. That's with both Iverson and Webber remaining in Philadelphia. If Iverson and/or Webber are gone, I expect those numbers to go up.
Charlie V will average maybe around 15/8 and how bout Mike James? Every year his numbers go up and last season he averaged 20/6.. in an article he stated that his numbers will continue to increase and will become an all-star in 5 years... In 5 years, he'd be 36/37 years old .. and plus, there are too many potential candidates from the East (Hinrich, Billups, TJ Ford, Wade, Arenas)
Dwight Howard will be the best power forward in the East next season. His offensive numbers will go up, and he will continue to be a dominant rebounder on both the offensive and defensive ends. I think that he will lead the Magic to a playoff berth and will improve big time on what we saw this year.
If Gerald Green can get around 20 minutes a game he'll average 10-12 points and 5-6 boards. Also look out for D-West to improve, especially after a year of PG experience under his belt I expect a bump in leadership and stats.
I really like Raymond Felton for next season. He was playing great basketball the last three months of the season and showed how good fo a pg he can be. <u>Ramond Felton projected stats</u>17 ppg9 apg1.5 spgAlso i liek Andre Iguodala to finally breakout. Hes showed potential his first two seasons but now is the year he finally gets close to all star type of palyer. <u>Andre Iguodala predicted stats</u>16 ppg7 rpg4 apg2.5 spg1 bpg
As you said Ballah, Caron is possibely a breakout player with how he's done in D.C. Andre Iguadola has already showed he's a young talent however he is going to show his true colors next year by having a breakout season.Jarvis Hayes has missed a year due to his injury however i'm sure he's going to come back this year and be better than ever.Lamar Odom - He's shown that he's got talent working alongside Kobe Bryant being his wing-man and go-to-guy. I think he'll do a great job next year.Zydrunas Illgauskus - Playing alongside LBJ as a big man can make you overshadowed at times however he had his place this year and he will continue to improve with the Cavs.Luol Deng - There is no question about this guy having talent and he's already a good player however within the next two years I can see him averaging 20+ points.

LOL hes getting pretty old and is already past his prime. If anythign his stats will just decline. Dont know where you got that idea from.

But the one i'm going to love seeing: Al Jefferson. Just when people are about to hang their hats up on this guy, he's gonna shock everyone. He's been working out twice a day and he plans to do that the rest of the summer. I'm projecting 15 ppg, 8 rpg nect year.

I understand you saying assists, but rebounds?I think Iguodala can average 15 ppg, 7 rebounds per game, and 3/4 assists if AI is still thereIf AI is traded 20 ppg, 7 rebounds per game, and 7 assists per game.I think he will really burst out next season.
