I'm going to say Nash because Amare is coming back next year.

Hell no. People overrate players right now and underrate and disrespect history.

This isn't about Kobe surpassing Jordan....Why does everything get derailed? [IMG]

I honestly think LeBron will take it.

Oh great, that one comment will turn this thread into a Jordan vs. Kobe debate. I'm calling it right now people, chill out on the Kobe/Jordan thing and discuss the topic at hand.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">

    </div>

I REALLY doubt Nash would win 3 in a row, that'd just be crazy. I'm rooting for the guy yeah, but I wouldn't want him to win MVP three times, that'd just be really strange considering the other players that will be in the running. Furthermore, Nash got the award this year because he lead an undermanned team to a great regular season record. He's already gotten an MVP for having a winning season with Amare anyway, so I don't see people voting him in unless the Suns get the absolute best record in the whole league.

My pick would have to be either Lebron, Kobe or.....*drumroll* Carmelo Anthony.

I know I'm ignoring people like Dirk and Dwyane, but I don't think Dirk will win it when compared to these guys. simply because of the 'supporting cast' factor. If the Lakers can somehow manage to get into the top 4 of the Western Conference (which isn't likely, but hey, you never know) then I think Kobe has a really good shot of winning MVP.

I also have Lebron on my list, simply because he is Lebron and I think the Cavs will actually have a better record then the the Pistons and Bulls next year, and perhaps even the Heat. If Lebron catapults the Cavs to the top of the East standings (I'm thinking top 2), I assume they would hand the award to him. Plus the media is most likely going to pick him if it's a Kobe vs. Lebron thing for MVP, so the safe bet would be Lebron.

And finally, I have Carmelo on my list because I think next year will really be his breakout season. I'm not even a big Carmelo fan, but he is the leader of that Nuggets team in my opinion and I think next year is his time to shine. He quietly led the Nuggets this year, but did not get greatly mrecognized for it, but I think they will continue winning next year, while he leads the way. Although it's not likely he will win MVP unless the Nuggets are at the top, I have a feeling he will have a breakout season nonetheless.

^ I really doubt that Carmelo is MVP material yet....but I'll just leave that topic alone.

I think D-Wade will win it if not Nash.

I don't know about you guys but I really want to see Paul Pierce be a top 5 candidate for MVP. However, I doubt it will happen because Pierce is one of the most underrated players in the league. But anyways, I already put up my prediction. I just wanted to put my opinion out there for the players who deserve it.

Ben Wallace, because he will propel the Bulls to their first ring since the post MJ era. Nah I was joking....

Seriously though, depending on whether the Heat are going to try in the regular season or not, I will go with DWade. However having Shaq hurts his chances. So my other choice would be Kobe if we see the Kobe from the playoffs. Now if that doesnt happen I will say Duncan, he'll be back with a vegence next season. Last season he was hobbled by some foot injury and didn't even make NBA 1st team.

In summary DWade, Kobe or Duncan

Dirk deserved it last year. My prediction is Dirk will deserve it this year. So my guess is Lebron.

NBA has already wasted 2 MVP awards by giving it to Nash last few years. I doubt they'll make the same mistake again. I hope Lebron or Kobe wins this year.

Nope..Nash wasn't an MVP in Dallas either. Throw him into the Detroit Pistons team and see if he wins any MVP awards. An MVP winner should be capable of making any team in the league better, not ones that only suit their style of play.

Let's face it. I'm not a big fan of Shaq, but how on earth can Nash have more MVP awards than the big Aristotle?

If Nash wins it again, I think my head will explode. No more, there are FAR more deserving candidates than him. Kobe won't win it unless the Lakers go undefeated and he averages 40 PPG... That's just how it's always been. I guarantee Lebron gets it, followed by Dirk and Wade.
