Has anyone noticed that the Red Wings and Pistons both have the best records in the NHL and NBA? Don't look now but the Tigers have started 2-0 on the road!

Watch out for those 2006 Lions! Don't forget they are from the #1 state in professional sports!

    MICHIGAN!

Has it been extra cold in Michigan? I guess the spring thaw has not warmed your cognitive processes. How else could you make a claim like that?

I may give you the Pistons but the other two hmmmm, The Lions may actually have a shot especially in the NFC North division, Im just so sick and fricken tired of every one saying this year is the year the Lions step up! The tigers most likely wont do anything and if Pre season judges anything in baseball When I saw them play the twins back up squad against the majority of their starters they were PATHETIC.

The Red Wings are my favorite NHL team. Grand Rapids Rampage (Arena) is my fave team from Michigan.

I don't mind the Lions or Pistons. As for the Tigers, they gave away John Smoltz - need I say more?

p.s. How can it be Michigan's year when GM & Ford are in economic turmoil? Keep in mind, I am a pro-GM guy but will NEVER own a piece of **** bka as Ford EVER again.

I'm on the same side of Lake Michigan as Green Bay and Chicago. I'm just a bit further north on the West side of the lake.

You must admit that having my state teams in the NBA, NHL and MLB all having the best record in their leagues is pretty awesome.

They funny thing is that posters from many lesser states don't even have teams in all four major professional sports!

My Michigan teams continued to roll over the competition tonight. The victims were Texas and Florida.

The Tigers (3-0) spanked the Rangers blasting 7 home runs bringing their Major League leading total to 14. They've scored 27 runs in three games!

The Pistons man handled the Heat in Miami 95-82. They improved they're NBA best record to 61-14 with five players scoring in double figures.

The NHL best Red Wings (52-15) return to the ice tomorrow night when they add Ohio to the victim list.

    M GO MICHIGAN!!!!

No. I didn't. I just left them out to get your goat. LOL

I listed Wilmington & Charlotte as they made the field of 64 this year.

My Michigan teams won two of three Friday night and continue to have the best records in the NBA, NHL and MLB. The victims were Texas and Ohio.

The NHL best Red Wings (53-15) pulled out a win against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Tomas Holmstrom scored the only goal of a five-round shootout to lift Detroit to a 6-5 overtime victory.

The Red Wings saw second-leading scorer Henrik Zetterberg leave the game in the second period with an upper body injury. He was taken to the hospital for precautionary tests. Detroit was already without leading scorer Pavel Datsyuk, who is expected to miss at least a week with a lower body injury.

ARLINGTON - Chris Shelton played along when he had his first Major League multi-homer game on Opening Day. He was pretty surprised when he homered twice again Thursday night.

Now it's starting to get a little weird.

The 4-0 Tigers are one of two unbeaten teams left in baseball after Friday's 5-2 win at Texas, but that was at least plausible between two games in Kansas City and two more against the back end of the Rangers rotation. Shelton, however, has five home runs in those four games -- something no Major Leaguer has done to start a season since Lou Brock in 1967, according to the Elias Sports Bureau -- and not even he can figure it out.

Shelton and the Tigers take on Texas again Saturday night when they send rooke Justin Verlander to the mound. Verlander was the 2nd overall pick in the 2004 draft.

The Pistons rallied from a 16-point deficit to lead by four late in the fourth period before falling 89-87 at Orlando on Friday. Their NBA best record is 61-15.

MICHIGAN #1 IN THE NBA, NHL AND MLB!

Enjoy it - its fun while it lasts.

I really don't see the Tigers pulling off a huge surprise, although an NBA and NHL championship is not out of the quetion.

I guess I should chime in here and point out that the Badgers just won the Men's and Women's Division I college hockey tourneys and the Brewers are 5-0.

Does it mean anything? Not really... But we all can dream as sports fans of our particular states/cities/alma maters.
