Andre Iguodala, Philadelphia F 6?6? 207 Nate Robinson, New York G 5?9? 180 Josh Smith, Atlanta F 6?9? 225 Hakim Warrick, Memphis F 6?9? 219 http://www.insidehoops.com/slam-dunk-2006-013106.shtml
This should be pretty sick, smith and iguodala head to head should be good enough let alone with a 5 foot 7" dunker thrown in. Im not too familliar with hakim though.

i think hakim warrick is more like a stromile swift type of player/dunker...i have only seen him play a couples games on tv with him playing limited times though...but again...this dunk contest will be more interesting than exciting (for casual basketball fans that care more about names) personally i would like nate to win..that would be a great feat, but i have a feeling it's going to be either iguodala (who is playing with very high confidence this year) and josh the defending champion again...this will be very interesting as they are all sophomores and rookies, and very atheletic
Seahawks in the Super Bowl. Nate Robinson in the NBA Slam Dunk Competition. This year just keeps getting better.
Man, I can't wait until the All-Star break. This is going to be one nasty slam dunk contest and I really like all the participants. We all know what Josh Smith can do after his amazing performance last season. Andre Igoudala has the capablity to throw down some sick dunks and has been in several SportsCenter highlight reels because of his dunking. Nate Robinson (my personal favorite) is the littlest guy since Spud Webb and I can't wait to see what he does. The other rookie, Hakim Warrick, is really the underdog in this whole thing and it should be fun to see what he can do since he has always been a good dunker since his days at Syracuse. I have a feeling Nate Robinson is going to win it all. When your so much shorter then everyone else, all of your dunks just look better. I think Hakim Warrick and Andre Igoudala will do ok but won't do anything that we've never seen before. Then of course, there is Josh Smith. I'm expecting something huge from him this time and I think he will be in final round with Nate.
I think Nate is going to be a favorite with the judges and fans because he is small and he can get up.
ten bucks says nate does a through the legs reverse, and id rather have David Lee in there for Warrick... or Lebron..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-22:</div><div class="quote_post">Hakim is kinda tall, but he can still dunk good. Go ANDRE!!!!</div> A lot of people are saying that but the fact is Warrick, at 6'9", is the same height as Josh Smith. On another note....GO IGGY!!!
Nate will be the favorite because he is the smallest guy. But we ALL know who is going to win right? Andre Iguodala baby! Everyone is going to be amazed. He got the sickest windmill in the league period. If he can some how do that windmill while throwing the ball of the backboard he might as well take the trophy off of that dunk alone.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">his 1 handed windmills make me wet myself</div> co-sign....but to a lesser extent.
^^Definately a lesser extent lol. But yeah this'll for sure be a good dunk contest, I'm not so sure Hakim will be that good in a dunk contest, because when I saw him play at syracuse he seems more just like a guy who dunks on people, but i suppose you never really know.
Well, Iggy has a slight advantage because Kenny Smith is one of the judges and he is always on his nuts.
Too Good?? Sounds like an interesting lineup, but what happened to the days where the best players in the game would throw down? Like Jordan, Nique, and Dr. J would all show what they got. Why don't LeBron, Kobe, and the other elite players in the NBA participate? We all know they can get up. Do they think they're too good or something?

If so, they need to drop that garbage, and add 4 more players to the contest. AND LET THE FANS VOTE ON THE CONTESTANTS.
It's looking to be a very exciting Slam Dunk contest. I have a Hakim Warrick mix (I downloaded from his College days) that if someone can tell me a good site, I could upload for anyone interested.
