I was pretty sure that Tom Brady was watching the Geogia Tech Game....... Hopefully brady put some words and try to convince Bill Belichick, to take this guy. think about guy. Pats need Vet DE and LB.. Calvin johnson is Hard to pass.

What do you guys think about this. Calvin Johnson or Dwayne Jarret?

Welcome to the site. I?m sure the DWO will love to see another New England fan

New England won't do it. You have little ammo to move up unless you mortgage your next 2 or 3 Drafts to do it. Johnson will go in the top 10. Latest is #7. No way someone moves down from top 10 to mid to late 20?s. It?d just take to much. Jarrett will probably end up as high as #7 to Minnesota or maybe Atlanta or San Francisco takes him as well. Again it?s just tough to move up that far unless you give up a real good young player and that goes against New England philosophy.

They have 2 #1's so thats a start....lets say they offer both #1s, thier 2nd and 4ths in this draft, and a 1 and 3 next year, that could be enough to get into the top 5 and draft that WR....and if the Pats want to screw themselves with that deal, Im all for it....

Way too many teams are going to be wanting Johnson. Everyone knows that if he's available at #7 the Vikings will take him. Tampa could use him as could Oakland. Several of the teams below the Vikings could also use him (Atlanta, for example). Personally I think he'll be gone in the top 5 easily.

Maybe take the WR from Notre Dame. Jeff Samarguh (spelling?) and let Reche Caldwell and Chad Jackson fight for the other position.

even if there was a team that moves up in the draft for Johnson it would absolutely not be the Patriots. As porky said its completely against their philosophy.
