<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to the Arizona Daily Star, wing forward Mike Moser verbally committed to Arizona on Tuesday, choosing the Wildcats over Washington and Portland. The 6-foot-8 Oregon native averaged 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds as a junior at Grant High School.

ESPN.com's Joel Francisco saw Moser in May at the Arizona Cactus Classic and came away impressed.

"The biggest surprise of the event was the emergence of Moser," Francisco said. "He has the prototypical wing-type frame with extremely long arms and overall excellent length. He's a tremendous athlete who is very bouncy and quick. His skills are quite good, especially his passing and handle. He has a solid feel for the game as he delivered a number of assists in transition that were quite nifty. His jump shot is a work in progress -- he gets if off quick, but it's erratic. Defensively he is quite versatile; with his ability to slide his feet and his quick hands he can guard 2's and 3's. Overall, he is one of the top five wings in the West."

Francisco says Moser's decision finally brings some good news for head coach Lute Olson and his staff.

"After a discouraging couple of months in Tucson with the departure of incoming recruit Emmanuel Negedu and the decommitment of highly touted Abdul Gaddy, Olson appears to have things headed in the right direction going into the summer," Francisco said. "In the past couple of weeks his staff has snagged ESPN 100 recruit Greg Smith (Vallejo, Calif./ Bethel) along with Moser. Both players fill glaring needs for a roster that is starving for an influx of talent, considering the uncertain future of Brandon Jennings."

"Moser should fill in for Chase Budinger after the 2008-09 season, after he, in all likelihood, opts out of his senior year to enter the NBA draft," continued Francisco. "Moser doesn't have the jump shooting ability of Budinger, but he's an elusive athlete with a tremendous upside, especially on the defensive end. The other option for Arizona will be Zane Johnson who will be entering into his junior season when Moser arrives. Johnson is the superior shooter of the two; however, Moser has the more significant upside and can dominate with his athletic prowess."</div>
