Could this be the decade of the Blazer Dynasty?

In the 80's it was Lakers and Celtics

    The 90's it was Bulls

The 2000 it was Lakers (just puked in my mouth) and the Spurs.

I honestly believe this decade we could muster 5 titles. Well as long as Vulcan doesn't get skimpy with our key players. :D

I think they will share it with one or two other teams. Tell you what though, let's start out with one championship and then we can start talking dynasty. Getting the first one is probably the most difficult.

Uh...way to hard to predict, don't ya think?

Not many people thought the Lakers could turn it around so fast when they lost Shaq and only had Kobe to build around.

Things change so fast. The Lakers are also relatively young, they'll be in competition for awhile with their core if they all can stay healthy.

Your future is promising, but 5 titles is a damn lot.

It took them 5 years to turn it around. It wasn't that fast was it?

True, but keep in mind our future is very promising. All we need is that first championship, then things will get much easier IMO. But I will be looking forward to a Laker vs. Blazer Rivalry this next decade. It will be fun to watch.

To go from one championship team to an almost entirely different one? That seems pretty fast to me. How long was Boston in the cellar?

Difference is Boston rebuilt, lakers retooled with different players. It wasn't bad, but in the process of them trying to get it right. Kobe lost five years

I think he had that in mind when he wrote, "Your future is promising".

Totally false. When you're the champ everyone is gunning for you. It's very hard to repeat.

We got to the Finals in 2008, we won in 2009. I don't know, it felt fast as a Lakers fan seeing with what we started with.

The starting lineups of Smush Parker - Kobe Bryant - Caron Butler - Lamar Odom - Kwame Brown was just...disgusting. We also had Tierre Brown as a back up PG, lol!

I 100% disagree with you. Getting the first title is harder than winning #2.

I agree with knobs, it's difficult to repeat. But I still think history shows that getting the first one is the toughest. Sometimes it takes four or five tries before getting it right for some.

You originally wrote "it's much easier", making it sound like a cake-walk once you get one in the bag. Any championship is going to be extremely difficult and to think otherwise is a little .

That'd be great if it happened, but I think all this "Dynasty" talk is way jumping the gun ... let's get out of the first round for chrissakes before we start anointing this team.

No doubt. I just want to be alive to see one Blazers championship. I'm not too greedy. I'd die a happy man if I got to live through it. We can get one and then go from there.
