Dope Sheet After a very successful pick in Defensive Lineman B. J. Raji at 9th and Linebacker Clay Mathews III at 26th a year ago, its time for Ted and McCarthy and the rest of the Packers organization to snag another big name off the board, maybe even two ago. We are set on the offense, besides the line. The biggest problem is the number of sacks on Rodgers between the last two years, 84. Moving up in the draft to get a better linemen. An offensive tackle would be the better choice in my opinion. On the defensive side we have a few things that need to be worked on. Depth, depth, depth. The biggest thing I see that we need defensive backs, and maybe a d-line or two. Knowing Ted and McCarthy, they will draft a few players I don't know the reasoning for, but I trust them. I'm no draft expert, just an excited fan. Round #, Pick # (#) Round 1, Pick 23 :: OT Bryan Bulaga Comments: After two seasons full of sacks on Aaron Rodgers, a total of 84 in the past two years, Green Bay addresses the need for an Offensive Tackle with this selection. Green Bay has one young offensive line with a Veterans teaching the young talent how to guard Rodgers. Bulaga was rated as the third best OL in this years Draft, and It was nice to see him drop to the Packers at 23rd overall. Bulaga will wear number 75. Round 2, Pick 56 :: DT Mike Neal Comments: Mike Neal, who will be wearing number 96, joins the defensive front with Cullen Jenkins, Ryan Pickett, B.J. Raji, Johnny Jolly, Justin Harrell, Jarius Wynn, Anthony Toribio and Ronald Talley. Brings more depth to the line. Pickett has 10 seasons in the NFL, Jenkins with 7, and Jolly with 5. Justin Harrel has technically 4 seasons, but from my memory, he hasn't played a full season yet. Everyone else has 2 or less years in the NFL. Round 3, Pick 71 ;; S Morgan Burnett Comments: Burnett, the new number 42 in Green Bay. Taking the grat Darren Sharpers number, hopefully Burnett will play like Sharper, interception, interception, interception. My biggest worry on the defense is the Secondary. With this selection I feel a bit better, but I want more depth, more skill in the position. Round 3, Pick 86 :: To Philadelphia with No. 122 for No 71 Comments: Round 4, Pick 122:: To Philadelphia with No. 122 for No 71 Comments: Round 5, Pick 154:: TE Andrew Quarless Comments: Confused.. Round 5, Pick 169:: T/G Marshall Newhouse Comments: I am happy, another O-Line is what we need. Hopefully this was a good choice by the Packers. Round 6, Pick 193:: RB James Starks Comments: Our RB are an iffy topic. I will be looking forward to see what Starks can do. Round 7, Pick 230 ;; DE C.J. Wilson Comments: Like I said above about the line. Depth is always great, but I would rather see another DB.
Okay, I am happy about the pick. A tackle was the best choice for the Packers. Now, I believe we need to get a DB tomorrow.
