So tonight at 7 pm, another draft starts. From years pasts, we've seen guys drop past us who become 20 PPG scorers and we take the guy who no longer plays basketball anymore, but that was than and this is now. BC I pray, that you make a big splash. Let this be the year of the Raptor. I'm tired of watching a draft and not seeing Toronto make any moves. This is the time, you're two stars want out, do it up. Lets get some fuckin' talent back in this city and get guys who wanna play here. Any young player should know, if you come to Toronto, and you play your ass off and just leave it out there every game, the fans will love him. And if he helps us win, he'll be the king of the city. I'm just waiting for whoever that is to step up. /Rant. Now, what do ya'll think will happen? I predict the first thing Stern says before the Wiz select Wall, is "The Toronto Raptors have made a trade....Chris Bosh has been traded too.... LETS GO RAPS!
Bosh can't be traded till July 1st. More likely that Hedo (fingers crossed) or one of the pgs get moved
i dont feel all that confident that BC will make a move.. MLSE dont want to spend a couple million on a rookie..
Someone better keep this thread updated because my stupid organizational behaviour group scheduled a meeting at 7
man, I am not sure what to expect, so much uncertainty with the organization at this point. At 13 taking a risk on Paul George might not be that bad, trading down and taking Eric Bledsoe would be good too, I think he can play well just didn't get to show it playing behind Wall.
There are few teams that need to be shaken up as badly as the Raps right now. BC better be super active tonight trying to make things happen. I don't care much about this pick. Hopefully he makes use of it to help us shed one or some of our onerous contracts.
Cole Aldrich off the board at 11, I really thought the Raps would have drafted him at 13. I wonder what they do now? Ed Davis is still on the board, Avery Bradley is still on the board, maybe they pull the trigger on a trade. Edit: apparently Aldrich just got flipped to OKC for the 18th and another pick, didn't hear the number.
Ed Davis, gearing up for a future without Bosh I suppose. But I thought they would have slid Bargs to 4 with bosh not there.
lets see if BC can swing a deal for Devin Ebanks.. im sure BC is very interested and working the phone lines.. but again i doubt he can swing a deal to land Ebanks..
I don't know anything about this guy because all the predraft talk was about aldrich, henry, whiteside, bradley, etc. ESPN says he's a good rebounder... anything else?
has the makes to be a good defender.. has decent dribbles can play/guard the 1-3 positions.. has ways to go to be a offensive guy but he is sound defensively and like you said a good rebounder..
Davis sounded pretty surprised he was drafted outside the top ten... must have an agent who isn't very realistic. Seems like a decent pick.
I hope this guy becomes a Ben Wallace type of defender (not on the same level, but you know what i meant).
Well i guess its good that we went for defense, but this still means Bargs will be playing the 5. I was really hoping for Aldrich so Bargs could slide over to the 4. btw Andy Rautins. Pick 38. Knicks. Raps need to trade for him ASAP. Just want to hear what Leo will say about him.
Slam lists us as a "winner" in the draft! Awesome. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2010/06/nba-draft-winners-losers/
