Seeing all these Carolina guys getting drafted makes me sad that we didn't get to see the Tarheels at full strength in the tourney. A UNC-UK final this year would have had the potential to be absolutely epic.
Yes because guys getting taken ahead of others (I'm looking at you Darko!) proves anything on draft day.
Your point won't be proven until we see these guys play. I'm not the only one who thought that they made a huge stretch with that pick. Just like they did last year with Thompson.
Yes... because what really matters is that your random dart throwing happened to lineup with the order of the draft. I'd prefer to just get the better player on the Blazers.
Look I get it, I look like a fucking tool and a douche ... There's just certain things I've always instantly blown up at: Somebody spitting on me, somebody telling me to suck a cock/eat shit/etc. It's been years since I've actually had to fight over this kind of crap and frankly I'm getting too old for it, but this is one of those zero-to-sixty things for me.
For those of you who hate the Leonard pick, I wonder have you seen him play? I mean really watched an Illinois game? I posted before about Leonard at the start of the draft process, and was met with the same response "big white stiff". I know there was questions about his maturity, but from a pure skill stand point, dude is far from "big white stiff". Great foot work, unbelievable fluidity for a big guy, not a lot of near 7 footers that can move laterally as quick as he does. Great leaper, and a pretty developed low post game for his age. Will he be a star right away? No, learning curve of big guys is longer, but dude can play. Labeling him because he's white is short sided, especially if you haven't seen him play.
What point was proven? They didn't need a PG. so they reached for a short SG, cuz they couldn't get Beal. Garbage pick, like your opinion.
He paved the way for inactivity today with his his "This is the first step . . ." & "What I'd really like to do in my world is go into a bunker until July 20th then come out with the aggregate composition". Maybe he knew going into today that today wasn't going to be the home run draft some us were hoping for. http://nbadraft.net/players/meyers-leonard
Holy crap--all three of those for the 17th pick in the draft?! I would've been thrilled if the Blazers had dealt the 11th for that group.
