Game Thread 2022-23 Game #26 - BLAZERS VS TIMBERWOLVES - DECEMBER 10, 2022 - 7:00 PM (PDT) ROOT

I'll still be mad on my way to this game. This season has been frustrating.

 

Honest question. What are you frustrated about, the inconsistency?

 

So they are without Towns and will have Gobert in the middle vs Nurk.
Can they open this one up a bit? Nurk has been shooting well.

 

We are going to beat these guys' asses and we're going to do it two games in a row.

 

Yeah I know people on here don’t like when I bring up the opposing teams advanced scouts kinda’ figuring us out, but I think that’s what it is. I honestly think our lack of depth is really impacting us.

 

They seem to be one dimensional on offense and defense. Pretty much due to size. They can only do a few things because of it. They will get some wins but I'm seeing some of the same things over and over. This team could really use a 6-10 guy that could get a shot from anywhere on the court and plays defense well. Kevin Durant would totally change this team. Even a 6-8 guy like Jason Tatum would make this team a contender. People on here don't like PG13 much but he would work pretty well also.
Notce how all the guys i mentioned are very talented.

we better win both games, our home record is trash, like were playing with no urgency, thinking were gonna get it done just cause we play at home

 

about Portland's home record: Blazers have lost 5 straight home games that were within 2 points with 2 minutes left....Memphis, Brooklyn, Utah, LAC, Denver. That's pretty extreme, especially at home. If Blazers would have won 3 of those while losing 2, they'd have an 8-3 home record.

More than that, they'd be 16-9 and the 3rd seed. If one of the wins was Memphis, they'd be the 2nd seed

Portland started the season 6-1 in close games. Since then they have gone 2-5 in close games with all 5 losses being those home games I listed

 

I’m so confident in this game that I went to Ilani and put $100 on Celtics/Blazers ML

 

But what are your expectations? Mine are championship. So 13-12 is not gonna cut it for me.

 

That sounds like a you problem then, cause no sane person had this team had championship expectations for this squad LOL.

Most of this forum was so down on this team after the preseason. Not saying you’re one of them, I’m not one to check old posts to prove a point, but even saying “I have championship expectations” back then would’ve been more of a troll comment than a real comment.

Whether we win a series or have a top 10 pick, I’m much more excited about the team’s prospects right now than any time last year with Dame, Ant, Grant, and Sharpe. I could even throw in Walker in that bunch.

 

I think we have discovered the problem then.

 

OH Noooo … another Home Game

 

My hope is the 6th playoff spot; avoid the playin. Even that is pie in the sky stuff from my view. With the worst D in the league?? With really zero bench scoring power, it's a long shot. Who the fuck on the bench can shoot a jumpshot? Shaedon is not exactly a walking bucket; he is a 19 y/o with 25 games against real men under his belt.

 

This was the game to go to. They ain’t losing this game.
