I think the Blazers starters match up pretty well here. The bench might be hard to match. Would have been nice to have Winslow with Little and Payton in this one. Drew has been getting a bit better but still a work in progress. Maxey seems to be able to cook a bunch of teams and for some reason Harrell always has a big game against the Blazers.
I honestly think Nurk can handle Embiid on a good night. Just got to stay out of foul trouble. That can be tough when playing the sixers.

There is your X factor. If Nurk shows up they can stay in this game.

Embiid will get his #s. That's fine; nothing you can do there just hold him to his average. Use Shaedon more. Gotta shake up the rotations somehow.

If we put him in space against Embiid with the lack of help he'll have, we should expect Nurk to get taken to the wood shed. Nurk doesn't fit with what Chauncey is asking him to do defensively and isn't close to as good as Joel. I definitely like what I know about Nurk's personality a lot more than what I know about Embiid's though. Nurk seems like a good guy that I think needs a fresh start elsewhere and Embiid seems like an asshole who is right where he should be.

Embiid hasn't played in Portland since 2017.

Embiid has only played 5 times against us. (6, but he was out in the first 6 minutes)
