    • This is the second of a two game home stand vs the Pelicans
    • The Pelicans defeated the Blazers 105-103 on 10/25
    • The Blazers are 37-38 all time head to head with the New Orleans Pelicans
    • The Pelicans are on a 6-0 streak against the Blazers
    • Chauncey Billups is 1-9 vs Willie Green
    • The last time the Blazers had a winning season vs the Pelicans, Terry Stotts was coaching his last year. The Blazers went 3-0 against the Pelicans that season
    • CJ McCollum was drafted by the Blazers with the 10th pick in 2013. He was traded to the Pelicans in 2022 in a deal in which none of the other players involved remain on Portland's roster. The Blazers did net a late 1st, which they traded to Detroit for Jerami Grant.

    A good sign a coach is a well respected coach is how quickly they get other head coaching jobs after being fired.

    Still waiting for Terry to get one.

    Oh, I know, he had a guaranteed contract...

    Stotts was an okay coach. Understood his teams strengths well and utilized them.

    But he wasn’t someone we should feel slipped through our fingertips. Certainly should not still be a debate among fans today.

    The problem is the inept management going on a couple decades.

    Thought I asked about Willie Green as compared to Chauncey but that premise about how fast they get another head coaching job is pure nonsense.

    We seem to be talking about Chauncey and coaching, and I was bothered by him not pull DA when DA wasn't playing well in the 4th. I don't know much about handling nba sized egos, but I keep thinking about this line from Brian's Song:
    "Because I've always had a policy right from the start: The best players play, no exceptions, and right now Curic's the best player." I wish our coach had this policy. Watch the first 30 seconds of the video below.
