Not with the way that team plays defense. But congrats to Dame tonight, well deserved.

Michael Jordan is only other player to win a major event, and All-Star MVP

What a joke of a game. That's one of those that a scholarship college player might get 20 points because of the abject lack of defense.... just a glorified layup/dunk line.

I'm totally happy with Dame getting these accolades with the Bucks. It still helps his legend as a Blazer. He's finally getting the recognition. Unfortunately he was behind some epic guards in the west who kept him from starting and getting MVPs and shit.

They should change the name to the NBA All Star Exhibition.

It's weird how the game has shifted from a ton of unchallenged dunks to a ton of unchallenged threes.

    It sure has.
The thing is dame is pulling from where they give people $50,000 for making the shot at the halftime prize giveaway and making them multiple times with ease.

This is what people are responding to, I think.

they should play on that led court and make the outside shots rarer/harder/strange because jacking up outside shots is not nearly as watchable.

Ha! This just made me think of something.
Have a small circle. Maybe 3' diameter. Have that circle move randomly around the court for each teams possession. If a shot is made from within that circle it's a 4 point shot?

That would definitely be much easier with an LED court. :)

I appreciate those of you that sat through that garbage last night so I could get the gist of the game by reading through this thread in 5 minutes. At this point why don't they just lean into the farce and go full on 90's MTV Rock N' Jock? Put the 4 and 6 point circles out there ... put a hoop at 25 feet and it counts as 25 points. Sadly the NBA ASG looks a like more like the link below than an actual NBA game.

Great point, it’d be more fun if it was an overlay in the booth and the players had no idea where the more valuable spots were, lol.
