    Let's get ready to ruuuuuuuuummmbllllee!!!!

Though no one on either teams admits it, the Pistons and Nets don't like each other.

This should be a great series.

Too bad I can't watch game 1, since i have class [IMG]

    Pistons win game 1

    78-56

Amazing defense once again, K-mart had no problem with the poor Knicks frontcourt but when you face the Wallace brothers you should expect a change. Prince really did own Jefferson tonight.

    15, 10 and 5

Although he has been putting up these kind of numbers all playoffs. Ben Wallace with 13 and 11 while being a factor on D of course. Billups and Sheed didn't do much but they didn't have to.

Only Kittles looked decent for the Nets but you have to credit th Pistons D for that.

Game 2 not till friday? Thats a joke, poor scheduling once again.

That Prince dunk and Ham dunk was sick. Especially Tayz dunk. Man but I didn't expect the Pistons to just totally dominate practically this whole game. 25 points in a half, that's superb D by the Pistons part. Great win for Detroit.

I never saw the game. I was at school. KAMEHAMEHA REPRESENT! But by the looks of the score, it looks like the Nets aren't gonna be going to the finals again. They shouldn't have fired Brian Scott. I say Pistons take it in four or five. It'll be a breeze for them.

Excellent win for you guys, Pistons.

Lucious Harris & Rodney Rogers have to make those type of open looks they got tonight.(RJ included)

The Nets have to make their free throws.

One of the tnt announcers said it best Jason Collins or one of the Nets other bigmen(rodney or Aaron Williams) is going to have to play well alongside Kenyon to keep the Wallace boys honest on defense. Nets cant win five on 4 matchups. And K-Mart cant win 2 on 1 matchups in the low block & on the boards.

So its time for Lawerence Frank & the Nets to go back to the drawing board to figure out away to grind out a victory on friday.

I expect another low scoring game, except I think both teams will be in the 70's. Hopefully the Nets can make some perimeter shots & pull out a victory. And come away with a split.

Damn. The Piston's defense just locked down the Nets tonight.

Pistons CAN NOT get over confident like we did against the Bucks.

Although, while some may argue, I think the Bucks were a more dangerous matchup against us because of their outside shooting. The Bucks had a strong outside shooting team which gave us fits. If the Nets strictly rely on their fast break I think the Pistons can win in 5. However, if the Nets make a conscious effort to rebound and score in the half court, it'll be a competitive series.

KMart needs help. He can match up against Big Ben OR Sheed, but now Big Ben AND Sheed.

Detroit outrebounded the Nets badly. That was the key to your win. Great job.

rofl. you many nba games have you watched? even det fans know this series wont be a breeze.could be quick, but not a breeze. thats just flat out disrespecting the nets. remember, it takes 4 wins to advance. how could u say that byron shouldnt have been fired? just b/c of a loss? most likely if byron was still around, we could have fallen into a bigger hole during the reg season and with the run that miami put on at the end of the reg season, the heat could've won the atlantic. byron needed to go if you knew anything about the nets/byron situation. think man, think

I want to see the Pistons sweep the Nets and then see if the Nets still say they are better than the Pistons, just like they said they were when they lost to Detroit, but was still celebrating because they got 71 points.

Of course the Nets want say they a better then the Pistons if they lose the series. But until then, after every loss they are going to feel that they are the better team until the series is over. They are the 2 time Eastern Conference champions, so they are the best until someone beats them for an entire series. Every champion thinks like that, its natural to have that mindset in my opinion.

And the 71pts thing is so whole news. Please get over that already people

What a turnaround that was by the Pistons

12 points down at halftime most would expect the worse and lose the game but the great defense was again the difference. Completely shutting down NJ's offense in that 3rd quarter holding them to only 11 points while scoring 27 at the other end.

Corliss Williamson was a huge boost off the bench with many key buckets, but the real headline was the play of Chauncey Billups

28 points 4 rebounds 13 assists and plenty of huge three-pointers which got the lead back and increased it in the 4th. Got to give props to Sheed as well he hit 2 huge threes in that 4th quarter that changed the game completely. Once he hit his last three the game was up to 13 points and by then there was no way back for the Nets

Pistons go up 2-0 heading back to New Jersey, a Pistons win on sunday and this series is all but over.

You guys are right K-Mart does need help, there is not another offensive insdide pressence. All Collins has to do is play so where Sheed or Ben will respect his game Collins got a few tap ins and offensive boards but thats about it.

Free throws in the 3rd quarter killed the Nets imo. If the Nets could have at the very least hit their free throws in that quarter they could have put points on the board to slow the 3rd quarter momentum of the Pistons.

Nets need some production from their shooters. Lucious Harris produced nothing again tonight. They need him to knock down some shots in the half-court from the outside.Rodney provided some perimeter baskets here & there but nothing with consistency.

Nice play by the Pistons starting Backcourt Billups & Rip got the best of Kidd/Kittles tonight.

Hopefully the Nets can dictate the tempo for an entire in game 3 at home. They had the tempo in the 1st half of tonights game, but its so hard to keep the tempo for entire game in the Palace especially with that crowd buzzing the way it was tonight.

The Pistons were determined not to have a game 2 relapse like they did against the Bucks. Especially since the Nets are a way better team. I kinda thought that the Nets would get this game. But when they only scored 11 points in the third, I knew it was over for the Nets in this game.
