On this day 43 years ago Wilton Norman Chamberlain set a record that will probably never be broken. Wilt scored 100 points in a single game. The game was played in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia Warriors battled against the New York Knicks in this historic game. Wilt was nearing the 100 point mark near the end of the 3rd quarter. The Knicks began holding the ball so that Wilt could not reach 100. Regardless of their efforts to slow the 7'1" giant, he reached 100 with time left on the clock in the 4th quarter. When he reached this goal the fans flooded onto the floor just to touch Wilt. The game was called due to the fans, so it is possible that Wilt could have scored 4 or 6 more points in the time that was left. This was without a doubt Chamberlain's greatest acheivment in his historical career. Happy Anniversary Wilt Chamberlain!!
What an amazing feat. Alot may have many speculation about the lack of the 3-point line making it easier for Chamberlain but if you think about it, wow. 100. 100 points in one game. Happy Anniversary Wilt!
Wow, that was a long time ago. Wilt is one of the greatest to ever play, and that game will probably go down as the best individual performance in history.
Well, the Knicks defense isn't that much better now Probably the biggest thing ever in the whole world of basketball. 100 points is unheard of and will probably not ever be broken again.
I wonder how much longer it will take for someone to break that record. 100 points in a game is an amazing feat.

(cough cough Tim Thomas cough cough). Not to take away from his accomplishment but the Knicks center was out with an injury, and their 6'9 backup fouled out in the third quarter....still amazing
