That's an impressive record, I don't care what anybody says. Forget Chris Paul's injury. We got a win on the road against a quality team, on a night when Brandon Roy was significantly "off." That is something to celebrate, not second-guess. Go Blazers!
our 30th win didn't come until games: 54 in 2001-02 46 in 2002-03 64 in 2003-04 74 in 2004-05 58 in 2007-08 41 in 2000-01 40 in 1999-00
I'm glad we got the win, but with Paul out, they were missing two of their best 3 players. They are not a quality team without him. A win's a win, and I'll take it, especially with players like Outlaw and Bayless stepping up, but I'm not going to get ahead of myself and call them a quality team.
where are the posters that said this team was no better than last year? i know maxim was claiming that but i thought a few others were on that kick as well.
Well if that's going on, they really need to work on their presentation. They're trying a little too hard.
30 wins at this juncture is great! I don't think anyone could've expected better right now. If we could get home court advantage.... oh my!!
Who gives a fuck if the team is a quality team!?! We beat a team ahead of us in the standings on the road! Fuck it!
I haven't heard anyone from NO offering to give back the win over us when Roy was out. So, no way we give back this one when we spotted them a 20-point lead before Paul missed the last 13:30 of the game. BNM
Thank You! After the season is over you may look at wins like this and say, "Dang, it would've been cool to beat them at full strength!" But until then I will take any every win that is given to us. Its not like all of our wins came like this and every NBA team is going to get a few wins like this, especially due to injury. I would much rather feel like we got a cheap win than miss the playoffs or HCA by one game. Take it for whats it is: a win.
I absolutely love this picture. Not only is that a great facial reaction to Bayless's dunk attempt, but my god Bayless is built like a tank. I love this kid!
