Just to paint a picture of how tough it would be ....

Worth noting also that 538 doesn’t even have Memphis making it, either. NOP with around a 50% chance. Their schedule is ridiculously easy. Easier than ours.

    Fuck the playoffs man lol

This team sucks for that shit to get slaughtered by the Lakers and add another negative mark to Dames playoff resume. Come back next year healthy and with my shiny lottery asset

This draft fucking sucks. We aren't getting a great asset by missing the playoffs. Playoff experience for Trent, Simons, Little, Collins and even Nurk would mean a lot for when we make the playoffs next season. So I'm with Dame, the team needs to try their hardest to make the playoffs.

Normally I would agree with the young kids getting Playoff experience....but not sure what they will learn from getting swept or Gentlemen swept. Being in the Playoffs doesn't seem to have done much to keep the Blazers from getting swept out of the Playoffs year after year after year. The 1977 team had never been to the Playoffs and won the whole thing with talent, chemistry, and coaching. This team outside of Dame is missing almost all of that in terms of being legit contenders.

What was the 1978 team missing?

And if this team had won a Championship last season and then wasn't playing well due to injuries, that would be an apples to apples comparison. But they got swept out of the Playoffs.....again.

This team has a franchise level GOAT....because they got him at #6 in the Lottery. Yes it was because of a trade from a silly Nets GM, but it's still where we got him. This team needs a shot at someone like that again. Who knows where you find them. I doubt even the biggest Dame lovers coming into that Draft imagined he would become this much of a franshise anchor.

No CJ types, no Zach Collins, no Meyers Leonard's......a legit talent that moves the franchise forward.
