Do you guys think Troy Murphy will be invited? He is shooting %50+ from 3 this year ... and is 2nd in the NBA ... I'm not quite sure if he has enough makes/attempts though ... Even if he does get invited ... Not sure if he'll do well ... let alone accept ... If you see his shooting ... it's not really a smoothe jumpshot ... Most of the 3's he makes are uncontested trailing 3's on a semi-fastbreak ... Just My 2 Cents ... What are your opinions?
I think he would probably do poorly in a 3 pt contest. He needs some time to set his feet and make the shot. But who knows, I could be wrong.
I think Murphy might struggle baseline. I've never seen the guy take baseline 3's. It's always at the top of the key in Murphy's case. I think most likely it would be reserved for wing players, because those guys are supposed to take 3 point shots form anywhere behind the arc. I think the best 3 point shooter in the league has to be Kyle Korver or Cuttino Mobley. Those guys can make it from anywhere. But you never know if Voshon Leonard will defend his title. He's streaky...
Ooh ... I have to disagree on the Mobley thing ... I say Michael Redd, Peja, and Ray Allen because they're "PURE" shooters ... Kyle Korver isn't anything but a Shooter haha ... jk ... I actually like Korver
Well Michael Redd is definitely more explosive than Mobley, but Mobley is accurate when it counts more times than not. I love Redd's unorthodox shooting style. It's so hard to block. Peja is money, I guess I forgot about him. woopsies. And then Ray Allen has been superb. Also forgot about him. And Korver is great. If he can finish in traffic and work on those ballhandling skills, he'll be a legit starter. He seems to be pretty decent on defense.
Lenard is down for the season with that achilles injury. Would he really risk reinjuring to defend the 3 point title?
Nowitzki probably won't get the call. It well be RA, Peja, Redd, and maybe Lenoard despite his injury
