Back in May, Florida gunslinger <font color="#990000">Star Jackson</font> received an Alabama offer and with that the Tide moved into contention for his signature. Since that time Jackson, 6-foot-3, 182-pounds, has been seen his offer list climb to over 20 and he was chosen for the Elite 11 camp. Tuesday afternoon at a press conference in the Lake Worth High School library Jackson announced his college decision. <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="208" align="left"><tbody><tr><td width="202"></td><td rowspan="3" width="6"></td></tr><tr><td height="3"></td></tr><tr><td align="center"><font size="1">Jackson committed to Alabama Tuesday at a press conference</font></td></tr></tbody></table>"I committed to Alabama. I told Coach Saban and Coach (Major) Applewhite about my decision and they said they were excited about it. I've had a good feeling about Alabama the whole time and I'm glad my decision is behind me" Jackson said. "Alabama had been recruiting me harder than anyone and they were there before I started to get all these offers. They've been there the whole time and showed a lot of faith in me early by offering me. It really stood out to me when they sent three coaches to watch me in May including Nick Saban. "Coach Saban is doing a great job there and I like Coach Applewhite and the offense he will run. I was comfortable working with him. That was a major question for me and I got that answered. After that there was nothing holding me back." After working with Major Applewhite at Alabama's camp Jackson said he knew that Alabama was the school for him. "Coach Applewhite is a former quarterback and he has a lot of experience to be so young. I spent a lot of time with him and he was great. He taught me a lot and I felt that we just clicked and thought alike," Jackson said. "He's a coach who will understand where I'm coming from because he was there not too long ago himself. I was impressed and felt that we wanted the same thing from each other. It's just a great fit." As a junior, Jackson threw for 1, 300 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is ranked the nation's No. 2 dual-threat quarterback by Rivals.com.
I'm not entirely convinced he is dead set on them. I could see a switch by signing day. Just the vibe I get</p>
If he does stay committed, he and top WR recruit Julio Jones (seen below) will be lethal together once he commits. </p> </p> </p>
