I just want to show one more time that a players time in a 40 means nothing. I was curious for myself to see what Brian Westbrook's 40 time was. I think we can all agree from last year, that he is one of the quickest/fastest players at his position. His 40-time was 4.57. He got drafted in the 3rd round, and last year alone he had 13 TD's in back-up role.

Now I look at this years draft, and how everyone complains that the RB's are slow. There is SPEED and there is FOOTBALL SPEED. I just hope that this one example, and there are plenty more will show that 40-time in not the only factor.

Tell that to NFL scouts, not to us.

No scout thinks that 40 time is the only factor....but it is a large factor in who will be successful at the next level....Westbrook had 13 TDs last year, but if was as great as the Eagles fans think he is, he would have been the featured back in the offense....perhaps if he ran a 4.3 he would have gotten the majority of the carries....there is a saying that if you have 2 QBs, you probably dont have any, and it rings true for RB's too....also, dont judge a player by the ammount of TDs he scored, its not hard to inflat that number by giving him the ball near the goalline more....
