45 million vote for new wonders of the world

Ask 1000 people what "Petro in Jordan" is and ask a thousand people what the statue of liberty is and probably 99.9% of them will know the latter and about half will know the former.

    Man made structures shouldn't count. Therefore the Acropolis should win.

    Its hard to sngle down all those things, With the exception of the Eiffle Tower all those are very old. I do think Mesa Verde should be on the list though, probably more so than the Eiffle Tower.

Statue of Liberty, whilst a symbol known the World over, doesn't deserve to be there. It isn't considered one of the most amazing wonders of the world, maybe if it was 4/5 times as big, but its relatively small.

The Eiffel tower is certainly not ancient. Also, are you saying the Statue of Liberty is 250 years old? It was finally finished in 1886 so a lot more recent than you think.
