<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to Adam Schefter and the NFL Network, the 49ers are showing interest in trading for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Javon Walker.Other teams that may be interested include the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles. Schefter states that any team that was interested in Bills receiver Eric Moulds, could also look to acquire Walker. That would include the Houston Texans, New England Patriots and others. However, ESPNews reported today that the Green Bay Packers will not trade Walker. Walker has been looking to get out of Green Bay for the past two seasons and has repeatedly stated that he has no desire to return.Walker has 4 years of NFL experience and has 157 catches with 2444 yards and 22 touchdowns during that career. His best year came in 2004 when he had 89 catches for 1382 yards and 12 touchdowns.</div>http://www.49erswebzone.com/content/news/view.php?id=4928It would be nice but I doubt we have a shot.

The 49ers need someone like him. I doubt he'll want to play for the 49ers tho. I think he wants to play for a winning team.
They should just trade him for their second round pick, and a future second round pick... or sumtin like that. Since they was probably going to draft a receiver earlier anyway, but it's better to have definite talent than have the possibility of a bust.

If they were to offer their 2nd rounder this year it would likely be a done deal.In reality this guy was considered to be a bust until he had one breakout season in 2004, then missed all of 2005 due to injury and is demanding his way out of town.I wouldnt really be concerned with where Walker wants to go, because he has made it clear he only really cares about his money and as long as he is getting paid the big bucks he will be fine.

His 04 breakout season was expected around the league, and he did it.I hope the 49ers dont trade their 2nd this year, cuz I think they can get him with their first 3rd. Even without him, I like the direction the 49ers are goin with their WR core.
