Willis (6-1, 242) saw action in 45 games with 22 starts at Mississippi and finished his career with 355 tackles, 11 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one interception. In his 22 games as the team?s starting middle linebacker, Willis had at least 10 tackles in 19 of those contests. In 2006, he became the first player in Ole Miss history to win the Dick Butkus Award, which is awarded annually to the nation?s top linebacker. Patrick Willis was a beast in the opener. He was causing a lot of havoc in the backfield, and was in on every tackle. He's made me forget about Julian Peterson. Keep an eye out for #52 all season long!
