UP 5. Marty Booker, WR, Chicago News Item: Bears coach Dick Jauron recently said about Booker's 97 catches last season in the Daily Herald, "I think he can catch that number again, maybe more. We look for Marty to continually improve. He's got great talent, and he's utilized it. He's learning more about his talents all the time as he pushes himself. We expect him to match it or surpass it. Marty's got to have a better year than he's had. Is there pressure on him? Absolutely. He's got a lot of ability. He needs to step up and even perform better, and I believe he can." Analysis: Booker has totaled 197 receptions for 2,254 yards and 14 touchdowns the last two seasons. Booker was one of only 22 wideouts with 1,000 receiving yards last season. Though he had a great connection with the departed Jim Miller, Booker has worked diligently with Stewart in the offseason. According to The Daily Southtown, Stewart said reports claiming he has struggled with coordinator John Schoop's quick-hitting offense are baseless, and the coaching staff agrees. Conclusion: Someone in the Bears' offense will need to catch Stewart's passes, and that will be Booker for the majority of the time. The other Bear receivers, Dez White and David Terrell, are inconsistent. Stewart won't remind anyone of Peyton Manning, but he did generate two 1,000-yard receivers, Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress, in 2001. Booker has great value as the No. 22 wideout in the seventh round in ESPN Live drafts. He'll produce like a top No. 2 fantasy receiver than a third one. Draft him ahead of aging No. 1 wideouts Rod Smith and Jimmy Smith, and secondary receivers Isaac Bruce and Rod Gardner. Read the rest hear. http://games.espn.go.com/content/ffl/2003/...?page=bigfive03
