I've never seen this pic, ever, until I was searching for Gilmour's March 24-25 L.A. Concert Tix........ Of course your the 1st person to come to mind, who would appreciate this: I've added this to my Screensavers.....Hope you enjoy, (or have you already seen this work of art?)
...fwiw, this is the version I saw first...instead of a painting, these are the actual girls with actual body paint.
Notice the difference in the two: Yep, I saw a few of these on the same site. Notice how the smoke stack is piping black smoke (Meddle's cover), while the fire on the womens rh shoulder- ("Wish You Were Here-LP), is up over her shoulder. (NTM-the Prism light from extending from the back of the gal with DSOTM). I'm thinking the foreground is a backdrop for the painter?????
...matts, just going from memory, the cover with the smoke stacks is from the "Animals" album...and the LP version I have of "Meddle" has a blue-ish cover with what looks kinda like water ripples.
My bad, I originally had Meddle written down, but where "Wish You Were Here" belonged...... Is this the LP Version you have of "Meddle"?? When I was looking at ticket prices for Gilmour next March Concert here at the Hollywood Bowl, I ran across a short video of Gilmour showing the camera's His Astoria River Boat/Studio. 1st time I've ever seen it, hell, I didn't even know about it, til yesterday..... see below.......
Incredible, I wish I had met you when I was working in Perry.......!! Where did you find those MFSL Master Recordings? In Macon...?
...the first one I ever bought was an LP of DSOTM...made from a special vinyl...then Abbey Road, Dreamboat Annie, Led Zepplin II, Night Moves, The Stranger, Innervisions...also have some DCCs (digital compact classics) ...also have some of these; http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Dark-Si...685?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9f2b578d
